We had such a nice time, peaceful, safe and walking distance to the sea. The hostess is amazing. Would go there again anytime.
Magda received us kindly. It was peaceful and just a nice and safe place to vacation. The town itself is also neat and clean and everyone, local residents, is very friendly.

Our hostess, Magda, and the people of Gouritsmond are very friendly. There are also retailers that I was grateful for.

Too far to walk to the beach.
The website's advertisement creates the impression of being close to the sea. Key deposit not refunded on departure, after time of departure confirmed the previous day. Apartment not soundproof at all!
Sea is not within walking distance as advertised, apartment connected with connecting door to other apartment and could smell smoke inside apartment, neighbors did not have a cut-off time for visiting until late at night, bedding not sufficient as weather did not cooperate , oven definitely unusable inside for any oven dishes and Holiday Flats are not at all suitable for younger children. Also when something is additional it means that you have options that you can either take or eliminate.
Been fantastic. It is ideal for people with children. Safe environment. Kids could even go cycling alone which was awesome.

Very nice place. Just make sure you bring all food things as shops to buy aren't so equipped, but there is shops.

It was so comfortable my family didn't want to go home because they were so comfortable and enjoyed themselves so much. Beds and all facilities were of such a nature that you feel at home in your own home. Area is quiet and no noise. Very clean and tidy and all you need is food and clothes, everything else is available. Thank you very much Martha.
DStv package may be upgradeable. Nor was provision made for an outdoor picnic table or chairs at each apartment. However, fishermen will be very happy with the facilities.

We had a lovely time at Gourits Holiday Flats. Clean, tidy, spacious and Magda was a stone's throw from us to answer any questions. Will definitely recommend. Photos are just a little misleading, the braai area is not at all as big as it appears. You can't really visit there if all the units are booked.

Far from the ocean. The kitchen and sitting area is too far from each other. Recommendations: more towel rails in bathroom, clarity regarding the key deposit - according to us we have to receive the deposit back when we give the keys back and not only when then place is cleaned.
Quiet. The toilet is a bit small. No one informed us properly about the place (Gourits Holiday Flats). For example, the people did not ask you if something was missing. Not all the glasses were there either. Only 3, not 4 as the list says. Also the key deposit. Just got back R50.

We had a great time but would have liked a decent shower and more work surface in kitchen.
Plekkie has everything you need. You just have to take your own towels. Without it being a problem at all, I think the following could improve the place: children's play area (not between cars in parking/street), better private barbecue area, arrangement of beds with reservation. I have e.g. didn't know that my 2 children were going to have to share a sleeper couch.

Real value for money.
Gourits Holiday Flats is a particularly nice place to go on holiday. Magda herself is a good host who welcomed us with open arms. The apartments are nice and big for the whole family. It also has a nice braai and chill area! I will definitely go there again.
It was a quick decision, but the service was excellent. Thank you Magda for receiving us so late. Everything was neat and clean. We will definitely visit there again.

Friendly and helpful owners and neighbors. The unit is beautifully clean and tidy, however there is only 1 thing I would improve - the bathroom in unit 4 is uncomfortably small. Despite that, we still slept well and had a great rest.
I went to rest and I did. The apartment was very neat and the area was very quiet and safe. It's at the end of a dead end so there are no vehicles driving there.
A very pleasant holiday experience in a very neat, modern clinker house with practically everything you will need during your holiday. We were kindly received and soon felt at home in a coastal town where we had never been before. We will definitely go to Gouritsmond again and stay at Gourits Holiday Flats.
Small, just a small towel was provided.
It was just bad that there was nothing to stop small children from going out, there was only a sliding door and wooden door, no safety gate. No washing machine either. It was also bad that we were 3 families and 2 had to sleep in front of where we all sat. Would have been better if there were more than 2 bedrooms which we didn't know about. The person who could help with laundry was terribly expensive and it just doesn't make sense to do laundry there. Had nice hot water to shower with and the place is very peaceful.
This was adequate accommodation for a family of 4 for over-night stays. On my scale of amazing, nice, okay, adequate to terrible, I would rate this as okay.
When we booked it was not the place we saw on website, there is no air conditioning and the unit is a baking oven and the caretaker is grumpy and incompetent. There was a broken tile on the stairs where my wife cut her foot, according to other residents there are frequent complaints about that particular unit and nothing is done about it.
Gouritsmond is a lovely place to relax, and haven't come across so many friendly people in a long time. Gives you a lot of hope for our country's future. If I had to complain about something I would say the bathroom vanity could just be a little bigger.

The apartment offers everything needed to make your stay comfortable. It is neat, clean and safe. It's the perfect place to switch off your phone and enjoy the scenery. From walking trails, fishing to collecting shells. The residents are friendly and we had a great time.
The place exceeded my expectations. It is very neat and has all the amenities one could ask for. All that could possibly change is there is only a bath. The sea there is very sandy and it is a mission to get the sand off your body in the bath, but you can live with it. I would definitely recommend the place to anyone looking for accommodation in the area.
