We absolutely loved our stay! Will be back for sure!
We had a wonderful, quiet stay at this beautiful farm. It was a bit of a bumpy drive down the gravel road, but worth it for the views!
We don't really know where to start. Beforehand Ryna was so helpful with all questions I had. What a great weekend with fantastic facilities, luxurious and accessible. Everything we needed was available. Wood for sale on the farm, a massive bag at a very reasonable price. Great 4x4 route to drive with the beautiful scenery. The most enjoyable was the peaceful camp atmosphere and my favorite was waking up to birds chirping, lambs and goats you hear and the rooster crowing. Didn't want to say goodbye to this farm. Thank you Kosie and Ryna, you will definitely see us again soon! Our souls are fed after the weekend.
Neat lawns on the pitches. Amenities are basic and clean but adequate. If the resort fills up, the facilities will surely come under pressure. The owners should probably just notify visitors in advance to bring their own drinking water and toilet paper.
Friendly service. Facilities are kept clean at all times.
Firewood and drinking water are available at the office. Furthermore, you have to provide for everything yourself. There is enough to keep you busy with walking, swimming and cycling. An extra bathroom or two wouldn't go amiss
We enjoyed a wonderful Easter weekend on the farm with the farm animals grazing around us. The surroundings and the campsite were clean and tidy. I was a bit disappointed with all the dogs that were allowed on the campsite, running around at will without any collars. At one point we counted 7 dogs. The mountain bike trails were particularly beautiful. We will definitely visit again.
Super welcome. Peaceful. Incredible stars at night. Highly recommended.
Beautiful view and surroundings with a lovely large grassed campsite. A really relaxing and quiet overnight stay en route to the Eastern Cape. We wish we had booked an extra night or two and will definitely go back.
I'm glad we were there, but if I doubt I would have ventured if I knew the way beforehand. The dirt road from Albertinia was passable at 30 km/h and not too long. 15 km. The last dip to the river was bad, but I've already learned that the ascent is easier. The campsite was very beautiful, but also a bit downhill. The campsite was very nice and peaceful. Only one co-visitor. The setting is impressive along the river. The ablution was under renovation, but we could use one unimpeded. The hot shower required some patience. Gas. So a bit rough for us, but I'm glad we were there.
Had a wonderful stay despite the drought. Wild camp at the entrance also nice ─ lions, elephants, moose, zebras etc. saw. Very friendly reception by Ryna and Koos.
Ideal place to rest and recharge 'batteries'!
Love the tranquillity of the surroundings with the sounds of the farm. Thorn trees around camp area. Not inflatable mattress friendly.
Friendly, hospitable people. Neat, safe campsite with a beautiful view. Peaceful atmosphere to rest.
It was so pleasant. Quiet and calm. The stars in the sky amazed us all. We could only stare. Picture pretty.
Besides the cold, it was an awesome getaway. Very quiet place and amazingly beautiful wildlife surrounded us. Will definitely go again. I just think there should be a spotlight somewhere, maybe not too bright, but bright enough to see around you. The starry skies is amazingly beautiful.
The bathrooms are a bit far from the lower pitches, as are the power points. We did not know that there would be no drinking water at the camp ─ the reservations could only have stipulated that. A self-serve/ 'honesty' box can be added and wood, water and ice can be made available for campers. Then you don't have to drive all the way back to Albertinia if you might have forgotten it.
We had a great time staying and visiting.
It is probably one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I have ever camped. Kosie and Ryna are two fantastic people who care about their guests' affairs, would highly recommend the place to anyone looking for rest for the soul.
The people are fantastic. Very clean and private. I will go back for sure.
I camped there with my friends and we celebrated the New Year there. Breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful. I hope that when I return enough rain would've fallen to get the river running again!
We had a great camp! View was exceptional! The owners, Kosie and Ryna, were very helpful and hospitable. We walked in the field, rode mountain bikes and went 4×4! Next time we bring fishing rods and books about birds! You will definitely see us again!
There are no power outlets. The showers and toilets are shared by ladies and gents. The doors of the toilets and the showers are short, so if you walk by and someone is facing your way you can basically see everything. I wouldn't have minded if the ladies and gents were separated.
