The place is worth the money paid. We get lots of amenities for free, there's absolutely nothing to ask for. The place is very comfortable, clean and safe. A 100% is what the host deserves.
The room was always neat and clean. The breakfast is definitely a bonus and I was received very kindly by the owner.
The unit has everything that makes an overnight stay nice and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised by the ingredients for a light continental breakfast. We must mention that a forgotten expensive medication was forwarded without delay and free of charge. Anneri has a generous heart. Grace Cottage is a safe, friendly haven to spend the night in Bloemfontein.

We had a wonderful stay. Anneri is very friendly and helpful. It's peaceful and the kids pretty much enjoyed the snacks/treats. We would definitely stay at Grace Cottage again.
The unit has everything you could need. The water, milk, yogurt, juices and breakfast cereal that is put in the unit daily is a great treat. The towels are nice and big and clean, as well as the bedding clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, I only have to mention that the microwave was dirty, inside and out, and that there was dust on the fridge, curtain rods etc. The bedside lamps and electric blankets by the double bed did not work, and on closer inspection were not connected to an extension cord. We tried hooking it up, but the extension cord was too short to reach the far side of the bed without making a poor connection. Luckily it wasn't cold, and we slept nice and warm without the electric blankets. The bunk bed's (below) electric blanket worked, as did the bedside lamp. We did not use the top bunk. The braai facilities are not very convenient. Maybe put a small portable braai in each unit, if you want to advertise it as having braai facilities? We went to buy a brush to clean the half drum fryer. Frying tongs and bowl were available in unit. The rest of the kitchen equipment is complete and has everything needed. The two plate stove with little oven is very cute. The bath and kitchen water was always very nice and hot with good water pressure. The availability of a bath and a shower is a great treat. Secure parking under a tree, behind an electric car gate is available. The unit is tidied daily. I might just suggest a decent "spring clean" from top to bottom, as first impressions are lasting. Thank you very much.

I was kindly received and clean and neat room awaited me. The room was not equipped with an air conditioner, but the fan provided the necessary amenities. This is not a guest house for the sophisticated traveller, but meets all the needs for a comfortable overnight stay. Will I visit Grace Cottage again? Yes for sure.

Very friendly welcome and advance communication. My unit was just too small to accommodate comfortable self-catering. The kitchen area was difficult to use due to lack of space. I would recommend this unit for an overnight stay, but not for a few days stay like I needed. The unit was beautifully clean with handy items such as a hairdryer in the cupboard and yoghurt with breakfast cereal and juice in the fridge.
Only negative was that one can hear the traffic on the highway.

I was warmly received by Diana despite the fact that I arrived several hours later than planned. She made an effort to heat the unit for me and explained everything thoroughly. Unit was neat and clean, with plenty of breakfast items provided. Beds were very comfortable and bathroom was comfortably furnished. Will use the guest house again.

I stayed at Grace Cottage for a week during the marking of NSC Matric papers. Anneri accommodated me tremendously with the uncertainty of dates that I would sleep there. The unit is very clean and tidy. It was serviced daily and the breakfast goodies (juice, yogurt, porridge, milk, decision, etc.) were replenished daily. I brought my own towels and they were washed daily and neatly folded again. The parking is safe, under a roof and behind a security gate. However, the unit could benefit from an air conditioner, especially when one comes home at the end of the day and it is terribly stuffy in the unit. It's also a little dark in the bathroom, especially in the shower, and the toilet handle has to be pushed up every time after use otherwise the water runs all the time. I also believe the unit could benefit from darker curtains or "black out" curtains. The front door also needs a darker curtain or something more than a lace curtain to block the sun in the mornings. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Grace Cottage and am very much looking forward to returning again next year!

The unit has a very beautiful and nice double bed, is fully equipped with cereal and biscuits for breakfast and has all the necessary equipment that one will need. Diana is a very cheerful and helpful hostess who really cares about everything the guests need and more.
Upon our arrival we were received very warmly. The room we stayed in was spacious and very well equipped. Despite the fact that the place was full, we never felt that we were not at home or that we did not have privacy. It was also wonderful to be able to have a barbecue in the garden after the Its Time event. Definitely very good value for money. All we missed was a shower as our unit only had a bath with no shower facilities.

The hostess, Diana's service and hospitality was excellent. The tidyness and convenience of the unit, as well as the quality of the mattresses and linen was above average. The surprises in the kitchen (muesli, cornflakes, juice, yogurt, milk, bread, butter, jam, rusks, coffee, tea, sugar) was topped up every morning and proof that the host goes the extra myle for the clients. We won't stay at another place in Bloem again!
Friendly reception and neat apartment.
The place is beautiful and well furnished. All we lacked was a corkscrew for wine bottles that don't have screw caps. Maybe a good idea to put about 2 eggs in the fridge as well. The traffic of the highway is very noisy if you are used to quiet places like on a farm, but that's just part of city life. One chair has a stain on the upholstery that I would replace if it was my guest house, but otherwise it was sparkling clean. Thank you very much! We will come again!

They just have to look at the TV, it just switches off by itself, it's not well connected to the plug. The sun shines through the door in the morning since it's glass. So you can't sleep late though and it shines in you eyes. Just hang something in front of it, a glass door's not ideal.

Although it is not a B&B, the room is equipped with three different kinds of coffee, milk, two chocolates, three kinds of cereal, biscuits, four slices of bread, butter and jam. Customer service was very good and staff very friendly. The room was always clean and neat. Some improvements to the room I stayed in last is requested. Wall fan needs some oil to stop squeaking every 10 seconds. Kitchen cupboard needs a light as its extremely dark inside. In future, I'd rather stay in one of the previous rooms I used. Whoever was staying next to me the second last night made a lot of noise.
