I was welcomed very kindly and I had a great time staying there.
Clean and efficient with very helpful staff. The solar geysers did not work in the snow, so we had a piggy bed.
The accommodation offered good value for money.
1. Our water was always cold; they said we have to wait until 8am, and by that time we had to be somewhere else. 2. There's a black and white dog that was always barking when we were outside; we were even afraid to go outside because we are scared of dogs.

The hosts run their guest house with pride and dedication and go to great lengths to ensure their guests' comfort and convenience. The house is sparkling clean and the grounds generally absolutely tidy. Given the excellent standard of accommodation and equipment, the prices are reasonable. I can think of no reason why travelers should not stay overnight at Grace Country Retreat. Feel free to visit Grace Country Retreat when you visit Memel or are on your way from the north to the beaches of KwaZulu-Natal. Don't forget breakfast from the hosts' kitchen, it's delicious!

We realize water and especially water pressure is a problem on Memel, but the water in the morning is not very warm, especially not on a cold and wet weekend. But it was tolerable. The good breakfast, the hospitality and the value for money make up for it.
We were kindly welcomed by Estelle and taken to our rooms even though we arrived too early. We were advised on which dirt roads were recommended and which to avoid and had an incredibly nice afternoon in nature with the most beautiful views. Estelle prepared the most incredible oxtail dish for us at short notice as well as breakfast the next day at a very reasonable price. Units sparkling clean, quality linen, towels and beds. Motorcycle-friendly with secure parking. Great value for money, would highly recommend!

On our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Estelle and Henry, a lovely couple who are both most helpful and hospitable. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the ambience of the surroundings is very peaceful and tranquil. Grace Country Retreat was an ideal haven for us to rest and relax before we continued on our journey.

The place is very neat and clean. The rooms and gardens are pretty, the atmosphere is relaxing and the service is amazing.

We walked into the neat, pretty blue room and immediately sat down on one of the comfortable armchairs. Estelle chatted with us kindly and asked us what time we wanted breakfast. In the room there is a file with all the attractions in and around Memel. There are also interesting articles about the town and if you want to know more, Henry and Estelle will be happy to tell you about the town. We will definitely stay with them again in the future.

We were received and treated with warm hospitality throughout the weekend. It is a beautiful setting. It is also a birdwatcher's paradise. The mountain passes in the area are just as beautiful.
The units are large, neat, clean and well equipped for self-catering. The hosts are very friendly.
