I would recommend Grace Haven to anyone. The host went out of their way to receive us and make us feel at home. We were received with pies and a smoothie. The host also made sure we were comfortable during load shedding and even started a generator for us. The host has a great focus on detail, and thinks of everything. We were also supplied with a full 2L of fresh milk and not long life milk. When we checked out we were each given a handwritten note and also a bag full of special plants to plant at our house. In summary, my girlfriend and I felt like we were visiting "Grandpa and Grandma". Would highly recommend to anyone and will return.

We had a wonderful stay, the rooms and the kitchen have everything you need. It's safe and very peaceful. There was a nice treat for us in the fridge upon arrival, and enough coffee and biscuits for the next morning. There is definitely the touch of extra effort. Celia's art touched my heart and soul and Hans and Celia's lovely way of talking ensured that we will definitely stay there again. Sooner rather than later! Lovely guest house. Hans & Celia go out of their way for a person. The regional power was off pretty much all night - much appreciated that they kept their generator running through the night so my husband could use his apnea machine.
Friendly welcome. Extra treats. This guest house and the owners are the closest to perfect we will ever get. Everything in the guest house worked and all the necessities we wanted were available. Couldn't ask for more, a liter of fresh milk and home baked pies in the fridge and well equipped kitchen, bathroom and room. We have never experienced this!
The room is very well equipped and painfully clean. Bed slept great, there are plenty of extra warm blankets. The bathroom has all kinds of treats, we really didn't lack for anything. We will definitely stay there again and recommend it with the greatest peace of mind.

A very good experience.
It is the loveliest place, with the most beautiful paintings of the hostess herself and lots of hospitality. The two bedrooms are beautiful and silver clean. We still wanted to buy dinner, but there were the most delicious pastries and little carrot cakes. I wouldn't want anything else. It was truly a joy to be able to sleep over. Thank you so much for the nice chat and that we were able to sleep safely.
Grace Haven is luxury value for money. The place is fantastically equipped, very tidy and the beds sleep wonderfully! Uncle Hans and Aunt Celia were laid in the cradle for the hospitality industry. We were warmly received with delicious figs from their own garden. We were also spoiled with baked goods and delicious smoothies. It got worse on Thursday morning when we had to drive to a hospital appointment at 6:30 ─ you wrintie, there was an umbrella by the front door for us to use! We were also informed of the load shedding schedule, for which the uncle also had a contingency plan in place. Tip: If you want to put the icing on the cake of fantastic accommodation, consider air conditioning and increase the rate. Furthermore, I advise travelers to pack their Peaceful Sleep. We wholeheartedly recommend Grace Haven and plan to stay there again soon. We had a great stay, thank you.

A warm, friendly welcome! Large, comfortable room and facilities. Terrifyingly safe in a security complex! We had a good time in Mattstraat (The Social Grill) and didn't want to drive far. My girlfriend lives in Fourways and lives in Matt Street. It took us under 2 minutes and everyone was home safely after a nice visit and a fantastic dinner! They went out of their way to make us feel at home and make our stay as pleasant as possible. Truly felt like a home away from home and I would definitely recommend them and definitely go back there again. The stay was definitely value for money. The facilities were spotless. The guest house is also in a very safe environment. However, it bothered us that the room was not serviced. When asked, the owners said that it is very clearly indicated that the unit is "Self-catering". We didn't think that was what "Self Care" meant! According to our knowledge, "Self Care" means that there are facilities to make our own food.
The owners were very friendly and hospitable. Would definitely recommend the place. Very neat in a different class compared to some of the other places where home has gone.
With this I would like to say thank you very much that we could have the privilege of being able to spend the night in this guest house. These people go out of their way to help where they can, with advice, and to buy an extra treat surprise specially for our birthday sister and put it in the room, and even have a whole mug full of watermelon smoothie for us made for us to enjoy! In the future, when I have to visit Pretoria, I would like to spend the night only there, and no other place. We felt safe, and the host and hostess are really very exceptional people. As a self-catering unit, we got much more here than we hoped for. The unit is fully equipped and everything has been thought of. Everything is clean and tidy. The environment is very peaceful with no noise except the sounds of birds. Hansie and Celia are very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to ensure that our stay was peaceful and carefree. On our arrival we got a plate of food in the room which was very nice and precisely at a time in the evening when you feel like something nice again. The place is out of the hustle and bustle of the city and not near roads that have vehicle noise. But still the place is easily within reach of major highways in both directions North or South. Woodlands shopping center is very close as is Pretoria East Hospital. Grace Haven is really recommended and the price is very reasonable.
This is the best guest house, in a quiet, safe complex. It is exceptionally beautiful, with every amenity we needed. Each room is furnished with care and there are so many extras. It felt like we were staying with friends instead. Thank you for the delicious plate of snacks on our arrival, the switching on of the lights when we came back from our function. We will definitely stay here again when we come to Pretoria and recommend you to everyone.
