18 guests' feedbackWe enjoyed the quietness, walking to the shops, and took the kids to Birds Paradise. We will be bringing my mother-in-law next time.
Theresa was incredibly friendly and we had a great stay. The place felt like a farm and we really enjoyed the fireplace in the kitchen. Ideal spot for a quick getaway. Definitely met our need.
Had a very nice weekend there. Theresa was a very pleasant hostess. Would highly recommend.
The place exceeded our expectations. Theresa was a lovely and thoughtful host. The area was equally lovely and offered great convenience and fun attractions and restaurants.
We arrived at the accommodation, this is where my team would be staying for a weekend. Theresa was very warm and welcoming and we had a good stay. She was also accommodating regarding our check-in and check-out times as our work vehicle had broken down.
We really enjoyed our stay. There were a few minor things that would have made it better (soap and a hand towel in the bathroom and an extension cable so the side light in the main bedroom could plug in), but the host was extremely friendly and helpful. The place was generally clean, and I'd stay there again.
We had a lovely stay. Had use of swimming pool just for us, which was a bonus. Working space in the kitchen is a bit small. There is a small table and only 4 chairs, whereas it's a 6 sleeper. It gets a bit hot inside, especially at night in summer, so fans or an air conditioner would be great. It was nice and quiet, just what we needed. It rained on Saturday, and there was a leak at the indoor fireplace and in the bedroom at the back. Outside: Nice small braai stand. Steel table and 4 chairs (some cushions would be great for the chairs).
Theresa was such a super star. Felt like I know her for years, so accommodating and really went out of her way for us.
Other than the issue with the hot water, we enjoyed our stay.
The house really needs updating, especially the kitchen. We were six people but there were only 4 chairs, the table could not accommodate all of us, far too small. The only area that was good, was the bathroom. The house that was advertised was not the house we "really" booked.

Grandpa Oak is definitely a place to go to be peaceful and relax. Safe environment. Very neat and the best reception ever! The house has everything you need and Theresa is the kindest person ever. We could have a nice time by the pool. Everything was just 10/10. Thanks for an awesome time Theresa. I would definitely recommend your place. And definitely come back again!
The host was warm and inviting, catered to every whim we had. The area is quiet and a stone's throw away from the supermarket for any needs. Safe and secure, the unit catered to anything and everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Thanks again to Theresa and family for an amazing weekend!
We had a lovely peaceful weekend. We were greeted by the owner, Theresa, with an amazingly warm and friendly welcome, we each got a chocolate on our beds which were such a cute and sweet touch after having such a long drive. Everything we needed was in the house. We even had a gas stove, lights and Wi-Fi during loadshedding which was great. She was very accommodating with anything else we may have needed or had questions about. We were also allowed to bring our fur baby which is such an upside for us. She treated him with absolute love and let him roam the garden and grounds for the entire weekend which he loved. The garden is so peaceful with a beautiful large oak tree that gives lovely shade to the surrounding area. We also got to use the swimming pool in the lovely hot weather which we and our son absolutely enjoyed without a doubt. The pool is also surrounded by a fence with a gate so you don't have the worry of your kids or fur baby's getting into the pool without you knowing. We had a great weekend and we will most definitely be back by Grandpa Oak again.
It was a business trip, we found it peaceful after a day's hard work we could relax.
The place was neat, and well rested. Owners were friendly, and were very cute with our animals. There is only one door between the owners' master bedroom and the unit's bathroom. And we could hear them, while we were using the bathroom (ie they could hear us too). Share yard with owners. No theft of windows and doors. I believe the owners should make people aware in advance that the unit is on the same plot as their house, and that facilities are shared with them.
