The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering and includes everything you may need and extra freezer space is available on request. The living area is air-conditioned and features an indoor braai, a dining table, a TV with Netflix and a DVD player. A selection of children's DVD's are available and we also offer free Wi-Fi for guests.
The cottage is child-friendly and we welcome children of all ages, there is a large playroom with toys and books for children and babies. A baby chair and bath chair can be provided on request. There is also a laundry room with washing and ironing facilities, including washing machine.

Warmly welcomed and was helped myself when my mother and I had a little trouble lighting the fire. Wonderful peaceful atmosphere, lovely house, fantastic people! We were sad to have to drive but have already booked again. Tops!
I came to visit Oudtshoorn for the Klein Karoo Klassique. Elzette met me upon arrival and welcomed me with so much kindness. The Lentelus Cottage is spacious and tidy, and the premises are quiet and safe. There is a short stretch of dirt road that needs to be driven to get to the address, but the road is well maintained and a regular car will have no trouble at all. I would recommend anytime.
We are from Montagu and it was our first time in Oudtshoorn. Our stay at Greef Cottages was very pleasant, it was just too short. Will definitely go again for longer. Thank you Greef Cottages.

Our stay was just amazing! Everything was perfect: the big, clean house, the friendliness of our hosts, the ostrich farm on which we were allowed to walk around and help feeding the ostriches, and the location. Just a perfect stay and we want to come back!

Elzette and her husband were wonderful hosts and the accommodation was a bonus with the playroom with plenty of surprises for our 2 and 5 year old grandchildren. It gave mom and dad and grandma and grandpa a welcome break! The pizzas and the ostrich fillets were top notch. The ostrich farm has the peace and quiet just as we expected and better! It was easy to get to all the Oudtshoorn attractions from there and definitely much better than staying in town. Thank you very much. It was definitely a highlight of our vacation!

I don't often rate, in fact, I cannot remember ever rating an establishment 5 stars but in the case of Greeff Cottages, it would be an injustice to give them any lesser of a rating. The cottage itself is comfortable, has everything you want and need and then some, so as accommodation it is great. But the difference comes in with the hosts. Elzette was always ready with suggestions and recommendations including talking me out of doing the "adventure" tour in the Cango Caves (a stupid idea at my age) to directing me to some great restaurants in Oudtshoorn. But the best was her very own ostrich fillet which was as good as all and much better than most that I have eaten. It was a little disconcerting eating an ostrich fillet while its brother was watching me but I soon got over that. And then there was the introduction to ostrich farming from a fellow host. None of this take a feeding bucket and hold it in front of a bird. We were in the camp surrounded and shoulder charged by a whole flock (or herd or bunch or whatever a lot of ostriches are called) and was introduced to the fascinating world of an ostrich farmer. And no, I don't want to give up my day job. If you are planning a visit to the Oudtshoorn area, I completely recommend you stay at Elzette's place. You will not be disappointed.

Seeing the ostriches and hearing about the farming operation was an added bonus! Would stay again and highly recommend Greeff cottages to anyone travelling on the R62.
The chalet is very spacious and clean. Just outside the town. The host and wife are nice people and we can confidently recommend the place.
If you want to break away from the city Greeff Cottage is the right place. Elzette and Morne are the friendliest people and they go out of their way to make a getaway perfect. They will see me again soon.

The owner Elzette was very helpful. It was like we were at home. The place was neat, clean and comfortable. Loadshedding was a bit of a damper on the Sunday evening but we then sat comfortably by the fireplace and kept warm and it also provided lighting.
The house is clean, tidy and peaceful. The owners and their children are friendly and helpful. Our week's visit with them was the best we had the whole holiday. We were kindly received and had a very nice stay. The cottage was spotless and had good WiFi. It is well located to see the Kango Caves and much more. One can decide to just ride, or to do a lot of activities in the area. Or just a combination of rest and activities.
Real platteland hospitality from Elzette who makes you feel at home straight away. Had a large house to myself and it is setup as if you staying at home with everything you need. I will make one suggestion though, please add some candles and a genuine paraffin lamp or two for atmosphere when sitting around the indoor braai. This will add to the rustic mood of the place since I stay in places like this to escape the city anxiety and having old fashion lighting will be the cherry on top.

Spring loop was very nice clean and well furnished. Elzette, Morne and the children were very hospitable, friendly and helpful. Since we really enjoy just sitting and watching a burning fire, each day's big pile of firewood was a big bonus. Many thanks to the 2 boys who brought the wood every day. We only stayed one night, but it was a nice experience. We had a warm welcome, had everything we could need, wood was provided so we could use the indoor braai - so cosy! Elzette and Morne's personal attention made us feel at home, it makes the difference - will definitely recommend them.
The reception was very hospitable and personal. The cottage was beautifully clean and tidy. Every morning the braai area was cleaned and restocked with new firewood. The unit is a bit dark, but more than comfortable.

Accommodation spacious with large yard. Secure parking. Town center with everything about 10 km far from the farm. Last about 1.2 km good dirt road the rest tar. Despite severe drought they still have a sense of humor. Ostrich parents and children and sheep also good entertainment.

Very friendly people in a very nice environment. It is located close to the town which makes it very easy to visit all the tourist attractions. You get the feeling of a farm that offers tranquility and you also get a chance to walk there and see all the animals. Our daughter had so much fun playing and riding her bike.
When we go to Oudtshoorn again we will definitely book here again. It's far enough from the hustle and bustle of the town, but also close enough to all the attractions. The cottage was nice and spacious (it's really much bigger than we expected!). There was even a large playroom which provided hours of enjoyment for the children with lots of toys. We could feel at ease because the cottage is so child-friendly. We had everything we needed, and the indoor grill helped a lot. It was lovely to watch the ostriches from the front porch! The children also really enjoyed the different farm animals. Elzette and Morné went out of their way to make it comfortable for us, and we felt free to call on them if we needed anything. Morné even came to explain to us how to grill an ostrich steak. We will go back for sure!

Look, Oudtshoorn is cold, but the warm welcome and of course fireplace inside the house was a feast. We could walk around everywhere; experienced pure farm and was able to rest wonderfully. Our host and hostess, Morne and Elzette, feel like family after the few days. Our daughter had a great time playing and pretty much toured the farm. Truly a festival and we had a great time staying and visiting - especially on that farm porch. We definitely recommend it.

Greeff Cottages is within minutes of Oudtshoorn, yet outside the town to offer a true farm experience. The house is fully equipped, and offers a great getaway opportunity. The covered parking is high enough for bicycles on top of a vehicle's roof. And the premises are completely fenced and secure. This is the type of place where you can easily visit for a few days. Van die oomblik wat ons geboek het tot ons baie stadig daar weg gery het was dit fantasties! Greeff Cottage het alles en meer as wat jy nodig het. Die plekkie is eintlik 'n groot plek wat te groot is vir 2 mense. My hart was baie seer toe ons begin oppak om die pad huis toe te vat. Ons het sommer van die begin af tuis gevoel op die plaas en in die huis. Baie dankie Elzette en Morne vir julle gasvryheid en vir die verskriklike lekker kuier op julle plaas. Ons sien uit na die volgende keer wat ons julle pragtige dorp kom verken.

Felt right at home with the family on the farm.
One feels immediately at home if you like a farm environment, and yet Greeff Cottage is close enough to the town to quickly drive there if you need anything. The house is well equipped, with an indoor and outdoor braai area. Thank you very much for the nice thorn wood (which is provided) for your barbecue, and we were lucky enough to get some oven-warm farm bread on sale! There is a spacious carport just outside the back door. There were also newly hatched ostriches that Morné showed us - too beautiful! Morné and Elzette are wonderful hosts and we had a nice chat. We recommend Greeff Cottage to anyone, especially if you appreciate a peaceful atmosphere and silence. We hope to come again soon!

Morne and Elzette feel like old lost friends who we managed to find again. Helpfulness and kindness like that is not easy to find. The place is the most affordable with all the facilities you get and more. A playroom for our grandchild if we want to come again in December, full DStv for grandchild's mother and grandmother so they don't have to miss anything while not home. The place is clean which you don't find everywhere, neat bedding. There is nothing bad to be said of this place. Recommended to anyone looking for friendly, clean, neat and safe accommodation not too far from the bustling town. Thank you Morne and Elzette.
Old spacious house, adequately equipped, very good value. For accommodation during KKNK just outside the hustle and bustle - quiet, safe farm feel, but close enough to drive there and back. Friendly host and wife who care about their guests.

Elzette and Morne overflow with friendliness and they made us feel so at home that we didn't want to travel further. Elzette also helped us with an extra night's stay on short notice. I would recommend Greeff Cottage to anyone.

Morne and Elzette went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Our daughter almost didn't want to go home, we had so much fun staying and visiting. The accommodation is neat and beautiful and very well furnished - everything was top notch! Would recommend anytime and we would love to visit again.

We had a lovely stay with Morné, Elzette and their family on their farm. The accommodation was clean, tidy, spacious, well furnished and the bedding was delightfully crisp. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves, with a large playroom, the friends and the plenty of space that the farm offers. Our host family spared no effort or help to make our stay pleasant. From suggestions for sights and places to visit, to help with a slaughterhouse and doctor. We arrived as strangers and left as friends. Greeff Cottage is definitely on our list of accommodation for our next visit to SA.
Although it is self-catering, there was wood already packed on the braai, just ready to light. It made us feel at home and that we were expected. They can leave nice fresh milk in the fridge and sugar for coffee. There were packets of coffee. This will only add to the welcome feeling we experienced. The Cottage is very large and spacious and clean. It is ideal for a family with small children.
We visited Greeff Cottages with 2 small children and were very satisfied with the accommodation and would definitely recommend it. The house meets all the requirements to take care of small children. The house is spacious and very clean. The children could play outside and really enjoyed it. Morne and Elzette and children welcomed us with open arms and made sure we enjoyed the time. Hopefully we will be able to visit again one day.

Greeff Cottage is approximately 10 minutes from the center of Oudtshoorn. The advantage is that you are completely out of the hustle and bustle of the town but also close enough should you choose to visit the town. Furthermore, the house is comfortably furnished with the most wonderful indoor barbecue for those winter evenings in the Karoo. Oh yes, and there is enough wood to make the braai work. Morne, Elzette and the children make you feel immediately welcome and we really never felt like strange guests on the farm but rather like friends who came to visit for a weekend. We will definitely come to visit you again.

R1 400R1 400R1 260Greeff Cottage can comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests in 2 seperate units. The big family cottage (Benmonca) can accommodate up to 5 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an open-plan kitchen and living room, and playroom. The main bedroom comprises a queen-size bed and a full en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom comprises a double bed and a three-quarter bed. The second bathroom comprises a shower, a toilet, and a washbasin. All rooms have ceiling fans as well as towels in bathrooms.
The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering and includes everything you may need and extra freezer space is available on request. The living area is air-conditioned and features an indoor braai, a dining table, a TV with Netflix and a DVD player. A selection of children's DVD's are available and we also offer free Wi-Fi for guests.
The cottage is child-friendly and we welcome children of all ages, there is a large playroom with toys and books for children and babies. A baby chair and bath chair can be provided on request. There is also a laundry room with washing and ironing facilities, including washing machine.
The second, smaller unit (Lentelus) has 1 bedroom with double bed and en-suite bathroom. Bathroom has shower, basin, toilet. No bath. Open plan living area with kitchenette, dining table and fireplace. Single bed for a third person. Ceiling fan in bedroom, and air conditioning in open plan living area. No children under 2 years are allowed in this unit.
Outside the cottages are braai areas for each cottage with braai facilities where you can relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the farm while you braai. On request, guests can use our lapa if they would prefer to braai there.
There is enough outside area for the children to play, run and ride bicycles. Enough parking is available.
Sorry, we are not pet-friendly nor are we wheelchair friendly. No smoking/vaping is allowed inside the cottages.
This area is popular for cycling, and there are plenty of walking trails on the farm and in the surrounding area. Guests are encouraged to bring their bicycles. The beauty of the Little Karoo is ideal for taking beautiful scenic photos.
