Keep an eye out for the elusive Knysna Loerie and the little Victorian Warbler which can be found in the undergrowth. The Crags is a beautiful rural area of Plettenberg Bay with lovely wine farms, animal sanctuaries and an array of activities for all tastes. Perfectly located and yet still close enough to kilometers of the golden, sandy beaches of Nature’s Valley, Keurbooms and Plettenberg Bay.

Lovely place, it's the second time we've visited Green Hills. Quiet and the jacuzzi keeps the kids busy, so mom and dad as well as the kids are satisfied.
Had a wonderful stay. Plenty of open space for kids to run around, with daily visits from deer. The jacuzzi was on and wood stacked when we arrived, which was a nice touch.
What a piece of gem! Safe, tidy, private and equipped with everything you need. Would definitely recommend!
It was the most relaxing and stunning place. Seeing the deer walking so close by while looking out at the amazing view was fantastic. The beds were so comfortable and the space was very well done.
This was an excellent choice for accommodation within the Garden Route. Our cottage was very well equipped with everything we needed and was extremely close to several major attractions, as well as restaurants and shops. Definitely somewhere we would stay again.
Green Hills Forest Lodge is easily accessible from the N2, also with motorcycles. Sue was constantly in contact and very accommodating as we arrived late. They had the jacuzzi going for us, and it was such a nice way to relax after our trip. Both the units we booked were clean and neat with everything you might need. We only stayed one night, but would easily have stayed longer. I can highly recommend Green Hills Forest Lodge.
Excellent place to stay! Jacuzzi with "donkey" for extra heat to enjoy as well as braai facilities. They also have a generator that keeps lights and roof fan on during stage 6 loadshedding! was a really awesome hostess!

Very comfortable accommodation, though quite small. The dining area is outside with limited seating indoors, so when it was raining we were not able to eat outside. Otherwise, it suited our needs.
We have stayed here a few times and as always the facilities are neat and meet our needs. The owner is very helpful and friendly.
The facilities were not worth the price charged. Better options available at a lower cost.
The unit was not clean and had a mouldy smell to it. The linen and bedding were very old and not clean. Also, the curtains are not conducive to sleep, and the unit becomes light at 4:10. There is also no bathroom upstairs, and walking down the steep stairs at night was dangerous.
We had a truly lovely time. Everything about our stay was so enjoyable and didn't want for anything at all. The hot Jacuzzi in the cold was the absolute highlight of our stay.
The accommodation is very centrally located, there is a superette that is very well equipped, 2 km on the N2. You can also have a very affordable breakfast there. There are also some places to visit in the vicinity for day trips.
The cabin we stayed in was exactly what you need to relax. White-tailed deer come to greet you in the morning and the lush green nature creates the right feeling of switching off and resting.

Very nice stay. Enjoyed the walking path through the forest. The little deer that came out of the forest surprised the children. They have generators for when it is load shedding. This is a huge advantage.

This accommodation is perfectly located along the East Coast- with a luscious green forest within the accommodation. The lodge was as neat as a pin and all the essential necessities were available, which made for a comfortable stay. They used a generator during load shedding for the lights, which was greatly appreciated.

Unit 4 was very tidy, they put in effort to accommodate their guests with loadshedding so that the lights stay on. Green Hills creates the illusion that you are hidden in the woods even though you are relatively close to all the villages around. The owners were incredibly helpful with any queries and privacy was respected at all times.
With tourism suffering under the burden of restrictions, it is understandable that everything can no longer be maintained so perfectly.

Beautiful setting, very considerate owners, special mention of Olivia, the lady that serviced our rooms only when it suited us, delightful person. God willing we will be back next July to celebrate my next birthday. The entrance was a bit hard to find for an old toppie from the pre-GPS generation.

Had difficulty finding the place. There was a lovely view and a forest trail you could walk along as well as deer to see. We found the service could have been better when arriving.
A comfortable couch or chairs are missing, which makes it uncomfortable to be able to relax and enjoy a quiet time with a book. All seating is a picnic bench, old, upright chair and wooden bench.
Two things that might be added are a carport, and air conditioning. Furthermore, everything is perfect.
Sue is extremely helpful. The chalets are very neat and the location very nice for doing site seeing around the area.

Fantastic accommodation, quiet, clean and tidy. Value for money. Buckeyes and walking in the forest were highlights. Sue was very friendly. Cottage has everything you need and fire pit was great for the cold nights.
Sue and family have created an idyllic haven here where you will feel quite remote from the N2. You can choose to walk in the forest or just sit and enjoy being away from the traffic - it’s close enough to the beaches to make this a holiday spot to spend a week at too!
We had a wonderful stay with the deer walking past right in front of our cottage door. We could feed them apples and carrots - it was amazing. The only problem that we had was that there wasn't hot water in the bathroom and it was a very cold morning to have to take a cold shower.
Nice central to everything. Within 10 km of all the sanctuaries and Plettenberg Bay. Many attractions around Green Hills Forest Lodge. Wildlife roam freely around you. Perfect place if you want to enjoy the scenery and silence as well as the beauty of the Plettenberg Bay and Knysna area. Thank you Sue for your hospitality.

We were only at Green Hills for 3 nights but enjoyed every minute. The environment was very peaceful and the lodge was very well equipped. There was nothing that you would need that wasn't there. We were even privileged to meet one of the reindeer and feed him an apple. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

Very clean place with the nicest shower. The owner also went the extra mile (biscuits, coffee and tea and milk in the fridge and an ice tray full of ice). It was really a very nice evening and I will come again.

Highly recommended as center between The Crags, Nature's Valley and Tsitsikamma. Because its right next to the N2, its very accessible with everything you need for a self-catering getaway.
