This is a most beautiful place to stay in Johannesburg. I love the garden and the sense of security within these premises. Photos absolutely match reality. Upon check-in, they gave me a complimentary room upgrade, which was a nice surprise. I would definitely stay here again in the near future!
The stay was pleasant, the room was nice, and the area was quiet. The only hitch was that the bathtub was missing the plug, but no big deal.
We stayed inside the room from our arrival and other guests were constantly walking past our room. Other guests and the owner took up a garden set to barbecue there. Many other guests arrived and celebrated something. They weren't too rowdy. We don't like the interior room door that is all that separates us from the main house.
The lady who received us was really friendly, I repeat that because I think her service was great. The bedding was nice and clean, but the whole place looks a little musty. I also don't think any guest house in today's day and date can have mold in the shower, not even a little bit. The garden is beautiful and green and the place is located in a lovely quiet and safe area, but I really think the whole guest house needs a good makeover.
No complaints about the stay, but the home is very basic and sparse and not welcoming in a homely manner. It offers a comfortable bed.

The house is conveniently close to Monte Casino. Rooms are private and tidy. Parking can get tight when it's fully booked. We just slept over and left early next morning. Was perfect for what we needed.
We were quite disappointed by the whole experience. Our room was really small. Only 4 coat hangers for 2 persons in the small cupboard and it was difficult to open the drawers at the bottom of the cupboard because there is not enough space to do so. The bedside tables are falling apart and the lampshades are fraying. Only one tea spoon for 2! It would be nice to have some voile curtains at the window and glass door, for privacy. It looks like the whole place needs some maintenance and attention. On departure, we were asked 3 times, with insistence, if we had taken something from the mini-bar. On the positive side: bath sheets (and not small bath towels) in the bathroom are nice, free Wi-Fi and the location is good. We didn't ask for breakfast, so we cannot comment on the food on offer.
If you have a large vehicle, then this place is a no-no. If you're in, then you can't get out and if you're out you can't get in. Parking is way too small. Especially when they're fully booked. I arrived in a VW Caravelle and there was no parking on the property for me at 23:00. I had to call one of the workers after which he moved one of the vehicles so that I had a place to park, which was anyways terrible, because there's no space for a vehicle. It is such a struggle, so if you want to sleep here, you need to come in a small car.
When we entered through the gates we immediately felt at peace due to the the beautiful garden. The staff were discreet, professional and helpful. The room was private, neat and inviting. All the required amenities were available. It was a very short trip from the guest house to Montecasino which made our evening even more relaxed and enjoyable.

The unit was neat and clean, but it seems like the staff have no training concerning customer service (ironing is done during breakfast next to the dining table, only Nescafe instant coffee is available, struggled with the working out of the final payment for extras, patio was full of leaves and broken furniture was stored there, poached eggs are prepared in a microwave, etc.).
There were cockroaches in the bed and the bathroom. The place has potential but it needs somebody to get it up to standard.
They are helpful and there are the nicest beds you sleep on. Everything is very comfortable and tidy. We were there earlier than we should have been, and we were received very kindly and allowed to store our luggage in the living unit. The service and staff are excellent and all compliments to them. Very comfortable units and the beds are fantastic! Rooms are very comfortable, and nothing was lacking. Many thanks also to LekkeSlaap for their friendly service.
The gate did not work. So everyone had to ring the bell to get in and out. The bell rang until 2 in the morning and our room was close to the bell. It bothered us a lot in the evening. Otherwise it was a very nice place to stay. Thank you.
Green Park Manor is more suited to business travelers than couples or families. The bed and the linen are of high quality and make for a good night's rest. The room we booked and the one we were allocated were not the same type. Nevertheless, we had a nice stay. However, there was a misunderstanding with the complimentary items in the room. The manager's assistant informed us differently about the items that were for our own account than the manager himself, with the result that we later got an extra bill which we then had to pay. So make sure about complimentary items first before enjoying them.
Couldn't locate the guest house at all. Owner was not available on phone. We drove around for over an hour trying to locate her and the guest house. Not even the agents of LekkeSlaap could find her. The reception was very unprofessional. I will never stay here again and do not recommend it to anyone.

The directions from OR Tambo were completely misleading. The reference says one should take Johannesburg and then Pretoria. It's confusing and that's why we almost turned around at Pretoria. We were only able to get to Irene on the right track. Totally wrong and an hour's turn. Please improve your road directions.
I would not recommend the guest house. We stayed overnight with our two children. There were no bath towels for them, and also only one pillow! The water was cut off in the area and we couldn't flush the toilet or bathe when we wanted to. The power was also cut between 23:00 and 04:00 at night. There is no air conditioning in the rooms, with the power being off, the fan was also out of order. It was terribly hot and stuffy.
The reception and check out was bad. The staff have no uniforms and I'm glad I didn't do breakfast.
Had a reservation for a "Lux Room"... Are 2 single beds pushed together now called a king size bed!?? Breakfast is made while the "cook" carries a child around on her back?? No what, I wouldn't recommend them at all, extremely poor. They made a 15 year old son and 10 year old daughter sleep on a mattress on the floor!! Very very poor, you are received by incompetent staff. They carry little ones around on their backs while they have to help you, very weak!

We only slept there one night and it was very pleasant. We would have liked a room overlooking the beautiful gardens, but unfortunately it was no longer available at the time. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the service was prompt.
We arrive to be greeted by one of the staff, she didn't actually introduce herself and Kelly the manager didn't seem to be around. The room is lovely and bright and the percale linen lovely and loved the toile curtains. The toiletries are great. Some constructive criticism:- A ceiling fan might be a good idea the room had no opening windows except the sliding entrance door and the bathroom window. The pillows should have pillow protectors. Fresh ground coffee and plungers should be offered at 4-star establishments The kettle cord was so short one had to crouch on the floor to fill a cup and one has to unplug it to fill with water. The kettles need changing for proper hospitality kettles that are cordless. No one is around during the day to help with queries or problems. Towels are odd sizes, mine was a large hand towel and didn't wrap around the body completely. The lamps are too low to to read by. The section in front of Ibis should be paved as shoes get muddy walking over grass and mud when it's raining.
The room was clean and the environment was peaceful. It was pleasant to spend the night there. We will use them again when I'm in the area.

We were upgraded for free - very friendly reception. The room had everything we needed. It was neat and clean. The only negative is the parking which was tight at times.

It's hard to write a review because we basically just freshened up there before a show at Monte Casino and then spent the night there. However, we have no complaints regarding our stay.
We enjoyed the stay, and our room. However, they must take care of the toilet seat, as it is too small and slightly skew on the rim - also supply a toilet cleaner so the guests can clean the toilet if the water doesn't clean the sides. Apart from that, it was a fantastic stay and we shall recommend it to people that's looking for a place to stay in Joburg.

The accommodation was pleasant and spacious enough, but we though it is most unhygienic (and inappropriate) that the toilet is separated from the rest of the room by a cupboard, and a mirror, placed alongside each other.
It was so cozy and clean! Made us feel right at home.

We appreciated the tranquil of the location and the easy access to Fourways and the motorway.We did not even give a thought about our security because driving through the boom gate we somehow felt reassured that we this was something we should not have to worry about.nnThe guest house is very appealing in its architectural simplicity and functionality and of course the lush garden complimented the place. For the future this will be our home for visits to JHB, drawn again by the friendliness and dutifulness of the caretakers.
