The room was neat and clean except for a few hairs on the floor. The breakfast was very tasty and there was a large variety available. I just don't understand the stick decorations in the ceiling of the dining room and wonder if it's getting dusty. The owner was friendly and helped quickly if we had a problem. All that could be an improvement is if a way is found to separate the bathroom from the room in the rooms that have a nice view of the garden. It's a bit strange to sit behind a curtain on the toilet. I know there are rooms where the bathroom is en suite, but they have double beds instead. single beds or is for a family of four and faces the street.

Absolutely fantastic stay. Neat and modern with free coffee and bottled water in the room. The view is fantastic over the mountains and the breakfast is mouth-watering. Would highly recommend for a nice weekend getaway.

Our stay at Greyton Lodge was amazing. We were at a function and checked in a little late. Our host was kind and offered us an upgrade of rooms, with aircon and near pool. Breakfast was delicious with incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The swimming pool (with country character) was a welcome relief from the heat. Beautiful artistry is visible everywhere. We will definitely stay there again!

The personal touch was evident during breakfast and we also forgot a wallet in a room. Hendrik was very helpful in notifying us of funds and helping to return the wallet with its contents to us. Fantastic!

Packed us breakfast the night before because we were leaving early for a hike. Provided a cot at short notice. Helped us with fridge space, after reception hours. Highly recommended.

Allthough they only serve breakfast as of 8am, the staff went out of their way to give us, the majority were cyclist taken part in the Pie Run MTB, breakfast before 7. And the breakfast was absolutely out of this world.
I had a great stay at the Lodge, from the moment I arrived Hendrik and Rensjah were friendly and welcoming and I got great service all weekend. It was a lovely relaxing spot, well placed for exploring Greyton and will hopefully be back again in future.

Everything we needed was there. The king size bed is luxurious and it felt like we were sleeping in our own bed. The shower is an experience! Beautiful garden and pool. The breakfast was a lovely end to our visit. Will definitely go again.

Hendrik runs a nice lodge, he was super efficient and it's a pleasant stay. The gardens and dining are great but the rooms are not going to suit everyone. Rooms are large with wooden floors as per the time period when they were built, so the bathroom was a bit of an add on and although updated, some may find them not up to the latest standard. I enjoyed our stay and I expected to pay a premium as it is Greyton and there was a big festival on. I would say pleasant but not wow.
Hendrick was so accommodating, friendly and efficient. The entire lodge was beautiful. The breakfast was delicious and the pool area was great. I would recommend going for the bigger rooms though especially if you are traveling with family/ kids. Lovely part of Greyton as well and not in the center which I preferred. Can't wait to return

Very tidy, warm welcome, cozy lounge and beautiful garden, but no tiger lanterns, cold in winter in the Manor rooms, and no soap or shampoo in bathrooms, a small but important and luxurious detail.
Exceptional friendly host.
I provide the feedback. My daughter made the reservation on behalf of our family. The breakfasts, service, hospitality, location, cleanliness, etc. was very good. However, we had a disappointing experience with the accommodation and other accessories (eg WiFi). We chose Greyton Lodge specifically because of the accommodation, size and apparent quality of the top room (pictured) and booked that room. Our family would be sharing the room and were very excited. However, when we got there we were told that the room was no longer available due to a leak in the roof. We were then taken to two separate rooms which in our opinion were not of the same quality/standard as we believed warranted our booking. The one room in particular was very cramped. Furthermore, we had a few problems with WiFi and each time the manager/owner had to come and make adjustments. We also struggled with water in the showers and bath that sometimes in the mornings did not want to flow. I was especially disappointed because our family was broken up as we looked forward to sharing the great room. I was also disappointed when I found out by chance almost towards the end of the weekend that the room across from us was empty while it was a nice big and tidy room. We accept that our experience is not the typical experience of other guests and that circumstances may have just not cooperated during our weekend. However, the above is our honest experience of our weekend. I believe that under other circumstances I would be able to recommend the Lodge without reservation.
Go out of their way to make us feel at home.
Sometimes it was hard to track down someone to figure something out. Didn't want to call the owner as it wasn't an emergency but couldn't get anyone at the office and it was during the day. It would also be better if the toilet was separated from the rest of the room. A curtain is not enough to make things comfortable.
Perishables had to be kept in our cooler box. Shower flow was a bit weak.
The team was very welcoming and made every effort to meet our complicated breakfast needs (vegan/gluten-free). It was a very cold night, so aircon heat was necessary in what was otherwise a cold room. Having an open-plan bathroom/ in a room is always a bit tricky if you're sharing a room, so perhaps closing off the bathroom might be possible - even if less chic!

Nothing was too much to ask for the Greyton Lodge team. We have a baby and got a room that only has a shower. However, we were short of a bath. Hendrik (Greyton Lodge owner) then went to buy a bath (dish) to make things convenient for us. The accommodation is stylish, clean and beautiful. Fireplace in lodge living room and another in dining room make for a lovely atmosphere. The breakfast was 5 star. Make yourself at home and just enjoy the beautiful place and its people. 10/10 experience.
From the start Hendrik and his wife went out of their way to make our time there as comfortable and memorable as possible. The accommodation was 100%. Breakfast and service in the mornings were truly out of this world. All in all this has been one of our best breakaway experiences ever!

We really enjoyed our stay at Greyton Lodge. The room was ready at 12:00, clean and comfortable and management was really friendly and helpful.
The room was beautiful, renovated with air-conditioning, enough blankets with beautiful light bedding. Hendrik, the manager, made us feel welcome and he was very helpful with information about the town and area. The breakfast was delicious and we were able to enjoy it at a warm fireplace.
From the moment we arrived, we were so well received and enjoyed our stay so much! We got a complimentary upgrade - although, both rooms we stayed in were beautiful, spacious and had lots of character! The pool was a highlight for the children. Greyton Lodge is definitely on a list for a return visit!

Greyton is a beautiful town and the stay at Greyton Lodge topped it off. The location of the Lodge was ideal. A little higher up the main street which made it quieter, but still a comfortable walk from the heart of town. Hendrik was a wonderful host and the breakfast at the Lodge very tasty. There was always a crackling fire to make sure the guests were comfortable. The room was neat and the bed nice and big. The shower, sink and toilet are part of the room which is not always convenient. Sometimes you need privacy. There is also no small fridge, so if you might want to keep cool drinks or something that you bought in town, it is not possible. There is also no TV. That's why I think the price per night of R1595 for 2 people is quite expensive. But, I didn't see the other rooms so talk to Hendrik when you book (I will do that next time). But our time was great and I would recommend the Lodge if the above doesn't bother you. The garden is beautiful and you can sit and read a book for hours if you want to relax or you can relax by the pool.

Our stay at Greyton Lodge was absolutely pleasant. We were treated to sherry next to the fire and one night we were even allowed to have a picnic in front of the fireplace. We were very surprised by the varied breakfast buffet - not merely repetition of the morning before. The food was delicious! We really don't have any complaints.

It was an absolutely wonderful experience. Just two possible recommendations. Firstly, it would've been great to have our own TV in the room. Secondly, safety. I was concerned, the area around the lodge is fairly dark and after hours one (also strangers) can freely gain access. It is only a bolt that can be lifted easily to open the door. It think it can possibly be a dangerous situation.
We had a great stay in Greyton Lodge with excellent hospitality from owner and staff. We soon got used to the trendy "open plan bathroom" and to keeping blinds closed in front of windows, especially if you are in the front room which is located near parking area and street. We really liked the modern, tasteful and practical furniture. Rooms were very well equipped and lacked nothing. Coffee could perhaps improve in rooms as well as at breakfast. I missed my freshly ground coffee beans and machine.

It's a very nice lodge with cute details, delicious breakfasts and good service.
I can only say that for a "honeymoon suite" there should be at least a shower and air conditioning. This is quite important, seeing that the other units that are cheaper do have it in it. We would have appreciated a shower, but everything else was perfect. We were surprised to receive a bottle of champagne and snacks. I would recommend booking the regular units as they are particularly nice and have a shower and air conditioning.

Accommodation at Greyton Lodge comprises 16 guest rooms, all of which have en-suite bathrooms. These rooms are quite spacious and uniquely decorated and are equipped with either double, twin, queen-size or king-size beds, with a shower or bath, basin and toilet in the bathrooms. Some of these rooms have private access to the gardens.
Guests will enjoy a delicious Continental breakfast served in the dining area, and the lodge also has a communal lounge that includes a large flat screen TV for DStv viewing and a cash bar, with a separate library to explore. Greyton Lodge also has a sparkling swimming pool that guests can cool off in on summer days.
For the corporate traveller, the lodge also caters to conferences and functions, which also includes a wedding venue as the main dining area seats 40 persons, with ample space in the gardens for more than 100 delegates.
