Guests can fish at the popular Orange Rocks about 300 m away and enjoy activities such as golfing, scuba diving, deep sea fishing, Uvongo and St. Michael’s beach, as well as various restaurants, movie cinemas, and shopping centres.
Griet se Plek is also close to many sights, like Oribi Gorge, Lake Eland, Waffle House, Mac Banana, Skoenlapper Dome and animals to entertain the children. Other activities include a banana farm tour at Riverbend Farm, the crocodile and reptile farm, deep sea fishing and water sports at St Michaels Ski Boat Club, coffee farm tours at Beavers Creek in Port Edward, 12 gholf courses, parkrun from St Michaels Beach on Saturdays, Kwagolo Caves and much more.

Tess and her husband greeted us very kindly and made us feel welcome. The place has the most beautiful view and is neat and clean. And nice and quiet. There is everything we needed and it was a lovely experience.
Tess and Deon are lovely people. Made us feel very welcome upon arrival. Delicious biscuits together with coffee, tea, sugar and milk in the kitchen and chocolate with a welcome card. Tess sent the load shedding schedule every day and stopped by regularly to see if we needed anything. Lovely spacious apartment with everything you need and more. Home away from home. Deon even lent us a beach chair for the week. Best holiday apartment we have ever stayed in. Would definitely recommend the place.
When we got there, the hosts were waiting for us to welcome us. They didn't hesitate to take us up and make us feel at home. It is beautiful and clean, and I would recommend them every time.

Aunt Tess received us kindly even though we were late. It was peaceful, no noise from other guests, safe play area for the children. Aunt Tess was always friendly and helpful. Clean linen provided and towels etc. Welcome note and come every morning to see if we need anything. Information about load shedding and water supply problems forwarded. They even provided LED lights and pumped water from the JoJo tank. Went so far as to replace a light on my vehicle before we drove and the positive messages and Christian theme were very close to the heart. Very good people.

Comfortable, well-equipped, spotless apartment with beautiful sea view. Hospitality galore, lovely patio. Beds very good quality, safe parking. With the smell, sight and sound of beautiful ocean, it's just what you need to switch off.

The flat is central to the main beach and restaurants. Shelly Beach Mall with all the major shops is just up the road. The flat has an alarm and we felt secure at nights.

The unit is walking distance from the beach, superbly equipped and very neat. There is everything and more available in the cute apartment. Stunning views from the veranda for sunrise. Braai on the patio with sunset over the sea. I would recommend the stay with confidence and will book again for sure.

Our trip was work-related, but we ended up being on holiday. I’ve booked dozens of establishments, but this one was at the apex. The level of experience enshrined the neatness of the unit. The way we were welcomed - you name it! All and all: we were stunned.

We really liked Griet's Place and would go there any time, should we have to find accommodation in that direction again. We took a 2 year old baby with us and they gave us accommodation on the ground floor with its own neat garden. It helped a lot with the busy little man. Uvongo is a fantastic holiday destination with a beautiful beach. Accommodation was wonderful at Griet se Plek with Deon and Tess who are wonderful people and very hospitable. We will visit again soon. It is easy to fall in love with these two people. They go to a lot a trouble to make you feel at home.
