Kleinbaas is a very comfortable farmhouse with everything you need. It was good for the soul to have a barbecue on the porch with all the frogs and night sounds around us. The nice hot bath after a day's long journey and hanging out in front of the gas heater let us relax.
There are not enough words to describe this paradise. There are even fewer words to underline the warmth and assistance of the hospitable staff. This piece of earth and its people are very special. Add to that this lovely cottage from a forgotten era, accessible by a winding road - like in a fairy tale. In short, we come again.

This is our second stay with Martli. She personally takes care of everything, and it shows. It is quality living, off the beaten track, with full privacy and in a beautiful setting.
Farmhouse as only a farmhouse can be. So peaceful and in the most beautiful surroundings. This accommodation will be good for you if you want to get away from civilization and don't mind your car and shoes getting dirty. There is really no cell phone signal or WiFi at the house — there is a TV, but even the TV connection didn't work during our stay either! Everything is spotless with soft and warm bedding. Gas heater kept the house nice and warm. Very friendly and helpful owners.

Truly the is a place where you can rest. A place where you would never experience the beautiful surroundings in the mountains, if you did not spend the night here. A moment of early times captured, but all that is necessary for the convenience. Here we could look at the stars together, on the big porch and tell stories, then board games before you end the evening. People receive you with friendly open hearts, and are very helpful. There is no cell phone reception here and the experience is definitely worth the dirt road. A true place to find yourself and each other.

Fortunately, we were driving a tall vehicle, which made the dirt road, even in the rain, comfortable. Wifi is only available at the owner's house. The entire area has no cell phone reception.
Groenfontein is beautiful, neat and remote. If you really want to get away and just relax then look no further. We really can't complain about anything - just compliment. For people with regular (low) city cars - be warned, the dirt road can (probably will) be a challenge, especially if it's been raining.

Beautiful view of the valley and adjacent farms. A pure farm experience with goats and sheep in the nearby kraal. The mountains, farms and green nature that surround the property are particularly beautiful. Simply furnished, tidy with large rooms. We experienced a feeling of pure farm with the goats and sheep in the nearby corral.
Oupa Piet is a peaceful old house that is completely isolated. Hostess is very friendly and helpful. House is well equipped with everything you need in the most beautiful surroundings with the sound of sheep grazing in the field.
A lovely spot, excellent view onto Swartberge and foothills, and private with no neighbours except the sheep.
Lovely peaceful place. Just stayed one night as a stop-over but there's plenty to do for a longer period. One of the cleanest and best looked-after places we ever visited (and there were a lot!). Martli is a charming and enthusiastic hostess. Excellent place!
