Our host Esmi was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. Thanks so much for making us feel so welcome and at home. We loved this farm property with its big fireplace and crisp quality and comfortable bed linens. The accommodation was spacious and very authentic. The decor was lovely and felt very comfortable. Although we needed to drive 11 km on a gravel road to get to the farm, the property and surroundings were beautiful and well worth the drive. We loved the fields and seeing the Namaqualand flowers and a little Duiker too. This is a safe and very peaceful gem of a location. It has a rural charm and style to it. We really enjoyed our one-night stay and would recommend this place to others. Phone signal is limited here and connecting to the internet was also limited. This may be a problem for some guests but for us, this was fine and added to the tranquillity of our stay in one of the world's rare and lovely remote places. Whatsapp and text messages do get through after a delay. Put the phones aside and enjoy the peace and quiet with stunning views and a cosy indoor fire. Thanks so much for an unforgettable stay.

Esmi received us warmly and gave us tips for flower viewing. Neat and clean accommodation. We would definitely suggest this as a point of departure for people traveling in the direction. The farm was of course a flower paradise in September.

Esmi made us feel very welcome, we enjoyed her sense of humor and stories about the farm! We walked for kilometers across the farm and saw the most beautiful flowers. The house is very well equipped, we sat on the porch until late at night and looked at the stars. It was lovely to wake up in the morning to the bleating of sheep. We wish her every success for the future!

We drove over the Wildeperdehoek pass to Grootvalleij. It's a beautiful setting, despite the fact that there were no flowers this year. Esmi's warm welcome made us feel extra at home. Thanks also for the tip to go and enjoy a "sundowner" on the exit road in the pass - it was very special! We were 3 people: me and my husband and my brother and stayed in the Kliphuisie and the Stoephuisie. Everything was spotless, with everything we could possibly need. The view is beautiful! Here the nights are so dark (yet so safe) that it feels like you can rearrange the stars a bit. The Kliphuisie and the Die Stoephuis definitely ended up on our "do-again list". We'll see you again soon!

We travelled here to see the flowers - alas no flowers due to the drought. We still had three splended days in the Namaqualand. Clean, neat accommodation, equipped in a cosy way. Had everything we needed and we loved the farm sounds. Friendly owners, very friendly dog.
