What a pleasant surprise! The most beautiful place, with a lovely warm room for a freezing, wet evening. Everything was just perfect: from the pillows to the nice warm towels. So quiet, you can even hear the ocean!
Awesome reception with efficient and friendly service, very clean room that was fully prepared for our arrival. Next morning, breakfast was ready and waiting, with the same great service.

People very friendly, lovely sea view basically stayed on the beach. Short a little maintenance work in oppiduin houses, e.g. porch sunshade and wood short varnish.
Very neat accommodation, location perfect with sea view. My only problem with unit 2 is that if you sit on the porch, unit no. 3's toilet window right in front of your porch. You hear everything that happens there.
I had a choice of 4-star room or beach side. Obviously, I chose the beachfront because I am from Worcester and I came for business. So I enjoyed the peace and beautiful beachfront.
The room was dirty, upon arrival we found coffee cups in the room that had already been used, there were marks on the bedding and the extra pillow was unusable. You also don't find anyone who can help you with the problems. Furthermore, it is plus or minus 4 km in town and to the beach.
Excellent location and unique decor make this a wonderful pampering experience with fantastic sea views.

Although the weather didn't cooperate and it was cold and wet, we really appreciated Grootvlei. Electric blankets, wall heaters, towel warmers, wow, what a wonderful welcome when you come back to your room after a long wet day in town. Thank you very much and we will definitely be back again.
We were warmly received, was really peaceful, beautiful house. We enjoyed the courtyard to relax. The rooms were neat. Breakfast the next morning was one for the books. The place is stylishly decorated, everything first class. The beautiful old milkwood trees in the parking area charm. All that bothered me a bit is that the main photo on the website is misleading. It is not possible to walk to the beach from the guest house, but from the venue across the road.
A characterful place to stay. Maybe needs some attention at Die Duine, feels like it's not being used to its full potential, actually a function spot. Maybe because we were just 3 ladies alone in the big place. Maybe time for new linens and soft pillows.

Incredibly special place - ideal for a group of friends or large family to book all the units together as the kitchen is shared. However, the common areas are so spacious that we were not bothered by sharing the areas with people we do not know. All were special people anyway. The scenery is amazing and we would have loved to stay longer than just one night!

Nice place, TV in room too small and doesn't work right there. Would also recommend mirror with hair dryer for women. Breakfast was good, maybe presented a little better. We may also suggest replacing the carpets with wooden floors. It will look more modern.
We loved the location. Would prefer for that money to have just had a small kitchenette. We travel all over SA and for that money it was nothing to write home about. Very odd place with breakfast in main guest house with zero style and no hospitality at all. Glad we only stayed there overnight. They were kind enough to upgrade our room but still.
Concerns of snakes in the room was raised to the manager at the facility. They have acknowledged that the premises is known for having snakes. We handed our key back because we did not feel safe. No refund on the remaining night was provided. Poor service.
The managers were very nice and helpful. We had a beautiful view of the sea. There is a lot of space and everything is spotless. We hope you will see us again soon.

Slept at the chalets in the dunes. Was beautiful and the most beautiful pools between the rocks on the beach. Well appointed and unique. Great breakfast! It's a shame the geyser didn't work well - cold and hot all the time.
The view is amazing. A little different from normal, but clean, hot shower, lovely bed, friendly service and nice breakfast.

I suggest the rooms get armchairs in the room. Sometimes it's just nice to relax in your own room and read without lying on the bed.
No sea front view except on the dune room 4 and room 7 looked out on a roof, no beds or coffee, tea refills during stay, no bins cleaned, no towels changed for the 4 nights stayed not.
