Neat, tidy, and everything needed for an away-from-home stay. The bed was extremely comfortable which ensured a good night's rest. The location was great and the view from our balcony was breathtaking. The hosts, Jenny, Sam, and Gary were extremely helpful and made us feel so at home. The lovely size pool was well maintained and was ideal for an early evening cool-off. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

We had a very comfortable stay, the apartment was well equipped and the view is beautiful, a very warm welcome and the swimming pool was lovely. We might just recommend that the owner provide allocated parking for each room. It was a little inconvenient to knock on people's doors to move their cars when they parked you stuck, but not too much, it was very nice to visit and we would recommend it to anyone.

From the 1st step into the units to the day we left I couldn't have asked for better. We were greeted by Albin and his friendly staff and don't forget the adorable family dogs! With home-made rusks left in our units and every thinkable amenity available to us, they left no stone unturned to make our stay unforgettable. This was truly a gemstone of accommodation in the beautiful coastal town of Knysna. The wonderful conversations shared between us, Jenny, Albin and their staff has been priceless. We had such a wonderful stay with our group and when we returned from our activities for the day the units would be cleaned by their friendly and competent staff (big kudos to your household staff Jenny, I'll steal them in a wink if I could). There is just too much to say about this establishment but all in all 15 out of 10. Then last but not least I don't know who was more sad to leave, your dogs or my boys who grew to love your dogs as if they were their own. They came calling the boys in the mornings as if to say "Hey mate, it's time to play or swim". Looking forward to visiting again. FYI, I've been passing out your establishment details to anyone who has asked me.

We had a great stay, everything was clean and the apartment is very well equipped. All I would suggest is that it cannot be called pet friendly as there is almost no space for dogs to run their rounds. This made it slightly difficult.

"Lovely stay - beautiful view."

We stayed at Gaudeloupe for about 4 months after the fires. It was refreshing to see how positive the host and hostess were after the damage to their own home - and the gratitude that the lodge was not damaged in the fire. The unit is beautifully furnished and decorated and the view of the lake and heads is beautiful. It is also wonderfully quiet even though you are relatively close to the main road.

There was absolutely no item we could lack, even an umbrella, gas lamp for power outages, a 5 liter water... they care about their people. Cleaning the cottage every day was a great treat! The staff was helpful and kind. The actual accommodation was very comfortable. I liked the fact that the accommodation catered for the finer details such as having electric blankets on the bed, panel wall heaters and a hairdryer in place. These are the little things that one misses when you away on holiday. So by having these things things, I felt like it was a home away from home.
