The best view from your bed from the top floor! It's priceless. We have now stayed at Gull Cottage for the 2nd time and were pleasantly surprised by the renovations.
Facing the sea, hidden behind beautiful native vegetation, you will find Gull Cottage. Your perfect weekend or holiday getaway place at a very reasonable price. We'll be back soon!
Everything we needed was there. The stove's plug didn't work but we were able to make a plan.
Fantastic. Stunning loytke cottage with a stunning location!
It was the perfect getaway for our family! The view from the top bedroom was beautiful. Although pet friendly, there was no gate/fence, which made it a bit tricky. Otherwise, it was an ideal spot to stay.
As a group of friends, we really enjoyed our weekend stay. The view of the mountains from the lounge and the view of the sea from upstairs are great. The fireplace kept us warm and sharing a meal around the big table was enjoyable. Be aware that the booking site says there are 2 king beds when actually there's only 1 (upstairs). The other is a Queen bed. Also, for the 6 adults, there wasn't enough comfortable seating in the lounge. The one couch was old and wasn't very comfortable either.
The house, although a little old, is ideally located with a wonderful view of the sea and the mountains. The tranquility did us good, even the teenagers enjoyed it and so did our cat.
The photos on the website do not do the place justice. We enjoyed our stay there.
A bit overpriced?
The cottage is located in a very quiet cul-de-sac with the most beautiful view of the sea and mountain! The rocky beach is a few steps away and the swimming beach within a 10 minute walk! The house is beautifully furnished with everything we need, including a gas stove which was very handy during load shedding. We will definitely stay here again. And our dog children were welcome and thoroughly enjoyed themselves!
With the sea in front and the mountains behind, fynbos all around, away from the noise and bustle we could not have asked for a better weekend stay. Perfect and good value for money. Will definitely book again.
We were delighted when we arrived to see how close the cottage was to the sea. The rockpools and walks were perfect. The stay was peaceful, the sunsets beautiful and location just perfect.

Had a nice time, had a bit of wind but the house was lovely.
We had a very nice stay. The house is very well equipped and the view from the top is lovely. The stairs up are quite steep, so not suitable for old people. The view of the sea is very limited below by the tall woods. It does provide shelter from the wind. We could not see the sea when we sat on chairs or the sofas. Well if you stand up at the bottom of the house. There are only rocks in front of the house, so don't expect a beach. The baboons didn't bother us at all - except that we couldn't sleep with the windows open.
This was our second stay in Gull Cottage and like last time, we really enjoyed it. Lucille was very helpful and professional and we were pleasantly surprised by a bottle of wine waiting for us. Thank you very much again, Lucille. We look forward to more adventures at Gull Cottage.
It was a very pleasant weekend. The place is neat and quiet and safe by the sea. The baboons also do not get to this house easily as it is far from the mountains.
The weekend was nothing short of the best time we had in a long time. Looking forward to returning.

Situated near the sea, but with minimal sea views from the ground floor and garden, Gull Cottage is a peaceful beach house, which suited our three couples and a young baby. The house needs some maintenance and TLC.
Location great, clean, worth it.
Gull Cottage is in the perfect location! Just in front of the house there is a lovely place for looking for shells and just around the corner there is a fantastic little beach. The main beach is also within walking distance from the house. We can't wait to go again.

Loved our stay at Gull Cottage, felt more than welcomed by the team. The spot is right by the beach and offers some stunning views. Must be amazing during whale season. The swimming beach is about 10 minutes walk away and is lovely. Also 1.5 km from the beautiful Harold Potter botanical gardens. The cottage is well equipped, has 2.5 bathrooms which suited us perfectly. Lovely area to chill and relax and more than enough board games supplied should the weather not be agreeable (although we had fabulous weather). The braai area and additional outside furniture were welcome to enjoy the lovely summers evenings outside. Thank you for making our stay awesome, we'll definitely be back.
Unfortunately, it rained and the wind was unpleasant. So the small children were pretty much locked up in the house.

Medical assistance was provided ,very greatfull for that but Morne asked if my guest smoked something ,yes he smokes sigarets.The lady who came on Saturday said that they are covered for any injuries and are not liable.Very disapointed in the day this whole situation was handled.Almost as if it is our negligence that this occurd.My guest had 2 ciders and walked up the steps to the bedroom he was so intoxicated he would have fallen down from the steps also
The house was well equipped with the essentials, it was clean and tidy. Had a nice cozy fireplace for the weekend and lovely open space for visiting and relaxing. Very safe feeling with secure parking.
It's a very nice place, clean, peaceful, near to the beach, have everything you need in the house. The best part of the house was my room on top, the view is breathtaking and love that there is a bath and shower and toilet on top as well, I'll definitely go there again soon, thanks Gull Cottage.

A 50% deposit of the rental fee is required upon reservation of the property, with the remaining balance due two days prior to arrival, payable into the designated bank account.Payment of the deposit will be considered acceptance of the Terms and Conditions, thereby securing the reservation.
Upon arrival, the guest and their invitees are expected to carefully review the Special Instructions provided. The guest is responsible for the conduct of their invitees throughout the rental period and must ensure that the property is used with care, respect, and in compliance with the rules outlined in the Special Instructions.
The maximum occupancy of each house is limited to the specified number of guests.
Any loss or damage to the owner’s property—including the inverter, linen, fixtures, fittings, equipment, or other items—will be assessed solely by Be in Betty's Bay, and the guest will be required to pay for such damages upon demand. Guests must notify Be in Betty's Bay of any losses or damages before departure.
Children must be supervised at all times when using the swimming pool, wooden hot tub, or jacuzzi.
If, for reasons beyond the control of the owner or Be in Betty's Bay, the property becomes unfit for occupancy during the rental period, the guest will receive a refund limited to the period of unavailability. No further compensation will be provided.
The owner and Be in Betty's Bay reserve the right to cancel the booking at any time, before or during the rental period, if the guest or their invitees behave inappropriately or cause a disturbance, at the sole discretion of the owner or Be in Betty's Bay.
Guests must observe the local quiet hours, which begin at 22:00.
