Aasvoëlberg is also known for high altitude training and is frequently used for the "Extreme Challenge", a mountain biking competition which is described as the most difficult challenge of its kind. Other on-site activities include hiking, cycling, 4x4 routes, fishing and birdwatching.

Large, spacious farmhouse, remote but safe.
Beautiful old farmhouse, with items from another era. Egbert took our family up the mountain and went to show the bushman drawings on the sandstone. It's worth climbing the mountain to the North West of the farmhouse - it was a literal and figurative highlight of the 2 night stay.
