Everything a family of 6 needs and more. Clean and safe with excellent service - we unexpectedly had an extra person and it was not difficult for them to provide extra sleeping place within a few hours. See you again next month!

"Good option if you want to spend the night in Nelspruit."

We didn't have many options to choose from when we wanted to book late for the long weekend. Hadens Rest was the best of what was available. We were 3 people including a young child. Separate room would have been better and there was not much place to sit if you bought fast food to eat in the evening. It was awkward. The lady who took our breakfast order was different from one day to the next and sometimes they had no idea what their own menu said. That said, I would spend the night there again, as Nelspruit itself doesn't have very good options. Our host asked me on our departure what we used from the bar fridge, I told her water and coke and she then immediately asked someone to check what I had used after I told her.

"Reservation confusion."

When I arrived at Haden's Rest Guesthouse, I had to wait quite a while before someone saw that I was at the gate, this after pressing the intercom, phoning and eventually hooting. Once I got inside, they couldn't find my reservation. The manager was not on site and was not answering the phone. Eventually, I was then taken to another location (off site) to Haden's Rest Tumblestone Manor. Once I arrived, I was told that they are fully booked, and couldn't find my reservation so I was put into another family room. My family and I decided to go out for dinner, and when we returned, I found a handwritten note under the door, asking for detail of my reservation. The next morning I had to explain and show my reservation. This was explained to the manager/owner's mother. I was then told, that the person doing their reservations had family trouble and had failed to inform them of my reservation. I was offered their apologies for the inconvenience. I was rather disappointed in the overall experience and especially since they couldn't find my reservation. I do not feel that this is very professional.
