For the birdwatcher, there is a variety of birds like the Knysna Bush Loerie and Fish Eagle. The farm is home to disease-free buffalo and a variety of buck.

Lots of birds and very peaceful.
We were pleasantly surprised with the hospitality and the beautiful scenery. We could hear the lions roaring in the evenings and mornings and the goats and variety of animals was really an experience. The cottage is fantastically equipped and the game drive and visit to the lions was the highlight of our stay. Many thanks also to Lustine for the delicious treat with our 21st wedding anniversary with the most delicious picnic basket. Will definitely recommend you to others.

Great time at Hakuna Matata. The facilities are clean and comfortable and the owners are wonderful people and very helpful. We can definitely recommend them to anyone.
If you are looking for a place for a good peace of mind, Hakuna Matata is the place for you, away from everything. Nice game farm with all the animals. Excellent customer service from the owner. We would definitely go back again.

Very nice stay, on one side the ocean (a short drive) on the other side the beautiful mountains and scenery. Very comfortable accommodation.
It was very nice and peaceful in nature. Especially the game drive and visit to the lions and other animals was a highlight.

Breakage Deposit
A refundable breakage deposit of R350 is payable directly to the property.Check-in/check-out details
House rules
- Pets are not allowed in order to avoid accidents with wildlife.- Activities such as game drives are available on request at an additional fee.
- A key deposit per unit is payable and will be returned within 7 days of check-out if no breakages or linen replacements are needed.
For bookings 10 nights or more:
- Clean sheets and towels may be requested on the seventh day of stay free of charge.
- A cleaning service is available maximum every fourth day for an additional fee per unit.
- Clean linen and towels, if requested before the seventh day, are available for an additional fee per unit.
- Guests are encouraged to recycle. There are bins provided and at the farmhouse is a compost heap for the degradable waste.
Payments:
- Bookings not in December and January: The total amount is payable via EFT 4 business days before arrival or cash on arrival.
- December bookings that are made 7 months or more in advance can be paid in more than one payment.
- Basic amenities such as coffee, tea, and milk are provided for 1 night. Please buy all your groceries in Groot-Brakrivier, which is only a 15-minute drive, before heading to the farm if you plan to check in after 17:00.
- Wood is for sale on the farm. One night's firewood is complimentary for bookings of 2 nights or longer.
