Hamba Kancane is like home away from away.
We had a great time there! Beautiful view! Good fried! Until 'Dove' soap and 'bubble bath soap' in bathtubs! Price is really fair! I recommend this guest house anytime!
We received the best treatment ever. The guest house was clean and well maintained and not to mention safe. We would definitely stay at Hamba kancane MaAfrica Guest house again and I will recommend it to all my friends. The amount of money we paid was worth every cent. Thank you Lorraine!

At least we were the only people in the house for the week until our last night. The rooms are not very soundproof and when there were other people in the house, we could hear every word and sound, which is not very nice. We were without water for a day, but at least Lorraine made a plan so we could bathe and flush the toilets. A pipe burst somewhere in town. Perhaps it should be said more pertinently what is available in the house to use, especially in relation to the kitchen facilities, then one can plan better. There are many things to use - stove, oven, fridge, microwave, etc.
Not at all what we expected for the price! If I only had to talk about the bathroom I would say the following: 1. Bathroom door does not close the door opening, so if someone is in the bathroom no one can be on the double bed otherwise you will see them. 2. The toilet bowl had to be filled with a tap. 3. The tiles in the shower are extremely extremely bad, there are 4 different colors and they are uneven and full of mold. 4. There is water leaking next to the shower. This creates blisters on the wall from which water runs down to the floor. 5. The outside door has a layer of fresh, growing mold on it! 6. There is only one towel arrangement so you have to put your clothes on the floor between the wet spot and moldy wall!! Never again, I'd rather sleep in my car! And that's just the bathroom, there's more!!
The "guest house" looks like an old house that has been slightly spruced up so that it can be used as a guest house. The shower in one bathroom was not in working order. My and my husband's bedroom was located at the end of a very uncomfortable wooden staircase on an upper floor and our children had to stay on the ground floor. The place was clean but seriously in need of attention and I felt it was really not worth the money we paid.
We did not get the "Luxury Family Unit" we had booked. There was no mention of the beautiful view that is being talked about from our little room. The lounge and kitchen facilities we had booked were absent. The owner's daughter works as a receptionist - without a reception area in the guest house! She once made her appearance in only a towel. The room we lived in had no hot water on two of the three days, there were no dishes for self-catering. The wardrobe does not have hangers or a back! There is no bath mat in front of the bath. The towels were dirty and wet. The place looks third-rate and neglected. In front of our room door we had to stare into a wheelless wheelbarrow and a table without a top! The wheelbarrow was full of water and cigarette butts. The owner, who was absent throughout, was full of stories on the phone. Her daughter, who played receptionist during our stay, struggles to communicate meaningfully. An absolute disgusting experience!
A beautiful view from the balcony of the residence over the panorama. A quiet environment, but not out of town. Very neat and clean.
Very good place, definitely think about staying there again whenever my friends or I are on this side again.
