Fantastic house, quality of house and everything in the house is only of the best quality, house clean, tasteful and very good quality. Power available as well as WiFi just to keep in touch with the outside world. Would really recommend for a getaway, would recommend for longer than 2 days to stay there. On top of a mountain all alone, with wonderful views. The cottage is spacious, clean and has everything you need apart from food. The windows are all large picture windows so you are constantly aware of the beauty around you. The walks are fairly easy and rewarding with some of them having spectacular views. We felt very safe but at the same time were surrounded by peace and quiet. I rate the place highly and will be back for a longer stay.

The owners helped us so nicely in time of need - our car broke down and they were more than willing to help. True heart people! The house has a fantastic location on top of the Hantamberge with the most beautiful views and walking routes for the day and even a telescope to view the stars/moon in the evening. 10/10! We'll be back soon!
The house was special. One can see the owner's heart and dreams are intertwined in it. Décor was very tasteful and yet it blends into surroundings. Amenities were outstanding with everything you need. Outdoor shower was a winner. Owner made a lot of effort to explain the way and with the WiFi that my husband needed. She was always available for anything and even contacted us after a rain storm to see if we were okay. The sunset hiking trail is a must. It was breathtaking. We had a great time and could have stuck around for a long time.
The weather didn't cooperate but if the weather was right it would have been a fantastic getaway.
The dirt road up to the farm and then onto the cottage is in very good condition. The walk to the sunset view is a must, do it in the day as well and enjoy it with the baboons. Keep a look out for the pair of Verreaux's (Black) eagles at the Sunset view and the Sentech tower. The flowers in the veld were fantastic as were the views. Well worth spending more than a day at the cottage just walking in the veld on top of Hamtam Mountain.
In the African outback in the middle of nowhere with good quality of infrastructure - much more than a cottage.
The heart of the Hantam. You are literally on top of the mountain with everything at your disposal. The house is well equipped and provided with all the comforts. Hantamland is definitely worth a visit!
The accommodation has everything you can think of and more. I found that once all the major issues such as crockery and cutlery, stoves and microwaves have been taken care of, it's the small things that make a place amazing. In this instance, it is the high quality of service by the owners who even came up to check on us when we did not respond to their message, fast internet access, great beds, free wood for the hot tub, hand wash, great towels, brilliant bedding etc. etc. I will definitely be visiting again.
We were looking for a remote place, set in beauty, and this is exactly what we found at Hantamland. The property itself is spacious with lovely features including a massive indoor fireplace, outdoor firepit and wood-fired hot tub. It is kitted out very tastefully, has all the appliances/odds and ends you need and you don't even realize the house is off the grid. We had the whole place to ourselves and the only people we saw, were a few people driving by on a tractor. Sitting under the stars in the hot tub and hiking around the enormous property were two of the highlights. There is no cell phone reception and mobile data does not work, so just make sure there is enough data.
No more to say. Not sure what the point of this second block is and why it isn't optional.
