It was heaven, and has everything you need. Loved the views and the peacefulness. This will be our stay over in future trips to Velddrif and hopefully even stay longer.
Very comfortable. Not luxurious, but everything you needed. The only downside was that I battled with the shower, either too hot or too cold water, not much in between.
We had a lovely stay and it was so peaceful. The accommodation had everything we needed and more. We will certainly make use of this accommodation in the future and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet escape. It was easy to communicate with the management/owners, and we had no issues getting in contact with them.
The peaceful atmosphere makes you switch off immediately and the management is friendly and helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Harder. Having arrived on a 34 degree day, we made a short trip to the nearby bay to cool off! Our cottage was spotless and we spent the evening listening to the birds and farm animals. Ideal spot to experience nature and get away from the city.

We had a very nice stay. Peaceful as you can expect from a farm setting. Breathtaking sunsets and not too far from the river. Just make a basic small boat launch by the river and you have a winner in my opinion.
I spent a wonderful short stay on Springersbaai, an old fashioned small West Coast farm near Velddrift. Having stocked up with delicious supplies from the Hopefield market, we spent a relaxed few days enjoying small farm life. We walked down to the Berg River which glides past the bottom of the farm to watch the sunset. White-faced cattle watched us warily on the way while sheep grazed in the next field. The very long Sishan Saldana train passed through a few times a day. In the farmyard chickens and turkeys went about their affairs and a small flock of guinea fowl regularly went up and down. The cottages Springer and Harde fit in perfectly with the back-in-time mood. They are furnished with authentic 50s furniture while also providing modern hot showers, fridges and comfortable beds I recommend them highly for anyone who wants to explore the West Coast or just relax. Springersbaai is completely solar-powered so you can holiday and decrease your carbon footprint at the same time.

Away from the busy city life to a place where your soul can truly rest among the friendly farm animals, an abundance of bird species and the night sounds. This was a unique experience for us with the most beautiful sunsets, on the banks of the Berg River with its diverse animal life. Thank you very much for an unforgettable weekend, see you again soon.
