The lodge is beautiful, and we especially loved the breakfast they serve in bed. It has an absolutely breathtaking view of the dam. We will definitely come again.

As the guest house is a wooden lodge, the rooms are not very soundproof.
Their breakfast was amazing and the staff was friendly and helpful. Besides that bathroom/toilet roof was leaking which made it uncomfortable for us to use the toilet, it was great.

Great lodge, staff members are not in your face, they allow you to be yourself and enjoy. Beautiful pool, (although my phone fell into the pool) but beautiful place to unwind and relax. Wonderful experience indeed, will go back another time. Loadshedding was disrupting the stay (however if they can organize a generator or solar system for lights in the rooms, that would be stress relieving) but not a big deal still, enjoyed without lights for couple of hours. TV unit needs upgrade. Breakfast was too nice, making you forget that dinner is not included- the lodge is a wonderful place to be at, especially for a weekend away.

The staff and owner were very friendly. Superb breakfast. The shower needs urgent renovations and hanging lace curtains could make guest stay more comfortable. I could hear the cooking activities from the kitchen from when they start preparing breakfast, a noise proof divider could assist.

We had a wonderful stay in the super tranquil and lovely Hartbeespoortdam Lodge. The rooms are clean and the area very peaceful. The staff are all very accommodating and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed the lovely gardens and pool. Breakfast is a treat, we could barely manage to get it all in! We enjoyed our breakfasts every day in the shade of some of the big trees in the garden, overlooking the dam. We truly felt rested and rejuvenated upon our return to the hustle and bustle of Jo'burg.
We had a double booking at Hartbeespoort Lodge and the owner accommodated us without difficulty at Hartbeespoort Guest House. We just want to say a big thank you to Eleanor and employees for our stay.

My daughter and I spent the weekend at Eleanor's place. It felt like home. It felt as if were old friends. She was so hospitable, friendly, and hands-on with her delicious breakfast every morning. Hats off to you, Eleanor! You are a wonderful hostess, and the view from our room over Harties dam was breathtakingly beautiful and special! Also, David and the other lady were really helpful and so friendly! Will definitely visit again and will recommend this lodge. Central and close to everything!

There's no privacy inside the room, you can hear someone talking from the other room.
Elenor made us feel so at home.
We came in in the afternoon and we were warmly welcomed. Slept well and got up early to look at the beautiful view. Breakfast was delicious, fresh muffins, delicious hot breakfast and hot coffee served by our hostess herself.
Absolutely beautiful and so much effort was done with the room and the breakfast, Eleanor and her staff were fantastic, definitely a must when in Harties/Kosmos! We are going back soon for another stay!
The staff was very professional and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The view was something to write home about.
We really enjoyed our evening at the Hartbeespoortdam Lodge. We stayed in the "honeymoon room". He is hidden behind the rock pool. That room doesn't really have a view, so I would think one of the rooms with a balcony would be a better option if you'd like to see the pond. The bedding and towels were in very good condition. The room was also very neat and clean. We received rose petals in the shape of a heart and two chocolates as a welcome. It was a pleasant surprise. I just feel at the price, one would expect the furniture to be more modern. The one mirror that is on the headboard of the bed is not where it is meant to be. We were out to eat in the afternoon. When we wanted to use the spa bath, there was no hot water. Forgot to turn on the geyser. Fortunately, the staff on duty were very helpful in sorting this out for us. But otherwise we were very happy with the place. The breakfast was very tasty. The hostess and staff are also very friendly and helpful.

Room has no windows. Open shower wets whole bathroom. Spiders in the bedding. No water in the evening in the shower and the room not suited for guests.

Warmly welcomed by Eleanor and her staff. The lodge's location is in a beautiful, peaceful area with a breathtaking view of the dam. Breakfast was 5 star, served at a time that suited everyone - Saturdays and Sundays. The room was neat and clean, the spacious bathroom with its shower and spa bath such a hit! Security was sufficient for us and our vehicle. Eleanor is an excellent hostess who made everything even more pleasant. We would gladly recommend this lodge.

Eleanor and her staff went the extra mile to make sure that we are feeling welcome and at home. Nothing was too much to trouble to fulfil our every need. Breakfast was adequate with coffee/tea, a variety of cereals, fruits and yoghurt, fruit juices, muffins with jam and or grated cheese and eggs bacon sausages mushrooms toast etc. Braai utensils on request available - even free wood!!!
Our stay at Hartebeespoortdam Lodge was a BIG treat. It's picture perfect and ideal for a getaway for any couple. The hospitality and helpfulness of the staff was impressive and we felt like guests of honor from the moment we arrived until we had to leave. The room was clean and tidy and carefully prepared for us with even a handwritten note to us as a welcome. The breakfast was delicious and more than enough to keep us full for the rest of the day. I would definitely recommend the Heavenly place! With that incredible view of the dam, it feels like you are very far away from all your problems. Thank you very much!
The lodge was beautiful and the view to die for. The owner, Eleanor, made us feel at home. The breakfast was wonderful especially Eleanor's avocados that she grows right in her yard.Its truly a romantic get away spot. The bathroom was amazing with a spa bath to relax in after that long die of touring. I give her 15/10 for her service.:)

The place is quiet and the view is just too perfect. I love it because there is a mall and the snake park a few kilometers away. I love it, it's the best place to get away from rush=hour traffic and the noise of the city.

Hartebeespoort lodge a very romantic lodge, with the warmth of all the wood makes it feel like a proper cabin. With the most amazing views of the dam and the sounds of the fish eagles in the background, puts the soul at ease, it is a very relaxing getaway for a couple for any special occasion. From the spa Jacuzzi in the room to the very romantic, heart-warming breakfast for two, everything was just absolutely perfect. I will be defiantly be returning very soon, and recommending it to all.
