Overall our stay was lovely. The accommodation was charming and well maintained. However, the bed was quite uncomfortable due to a hard mattress, which affected our quality of sleep. We hope this feedback will help improve future stays.

We were left in peace and saw the hostess only 1 time upon arrival. The place needs a decent deep clean. I was bitten by a spider 2 times and my husband 1 time. The bed is horrible. The bed base is broken and hanging on the floor. The mattress' wires and springs dig into your body. The bed will need to be replaced before the next guest. Otherwise everything is nice and in order. If we could sleep better I would have given 5 stars, but it was not pleasant to lie down at all.

Exactly what we needed. Will stay there again and again. When we are on our way to occupy accommodation that we have not yet used, there are always a lot of question marks that dance around in the back of our heads. We were pleasantly surprised. Good equipped kitchen for this low price range of accommodation. Ample space in the cupboards for a week's luggage. The location of the apartment on the plot is optimal to ensure privacy. Fast internet and full DStv, but the TV's location is impractical for sitting and watching.

The owners of the accommodation avoided us so much that we didn't even know what they looked like, nor did they ask if everything was alright. Furthermore, there are two shower heads and only one works and is connected to a flexible pipe and heel too low on the wall which makes showering very uncomfortable for us. There are three air extraction fans that make noise and sleep uncomfortable
The place to stay just needs to get a small safe.
Didn't meet the hostess at all for the entire period of the stay of the 7 days we were there. The place is cramped and very cold. The bladder warmer didn't help much. If it wasn't for comments from previous guests I wouldn't have known how to route the water from the hand shower to the overhead shower either. Time to go out is 9 o'clock in the morning, but the maid came to collect the bed linen at half past nine.
Nice quiet environment and wonderful to rest. Close to all amenities, things to do and see. If the opportunity arises we will definitely go again.

The place is very neat and everything is in good condition. One can see that the owner makes a lot of effort to satisfy visitors. The garden is truly a feast for the eyes, and the surroundings are very peaceful and safe.
Very clean and tidy. Very nice stay. Secure parking area. However, there are many points that can be improved. There is a cat that simply makes itself at night - my fiance is allergic to cats so it was a nightmare. Secondly, the bedding as well as the curtains are very old fashioned (outdated) please replace them. also the bed mattress, also feels like it's finished. Third, the big shower head doesn't work, so very uncomfortable to hold and wash with a small shower faucet all the time, wastes a lot of time. I really hope that these issues will be addressed.
No customer service is received from hostess/owner. We went home for 13 nights and until we left we had no contact with owner. Braai facilities are advertised but the braai, chairs and table are part of the house and are not private at all and we did not know if we were allowed to use them. So we felt very out of place. We suggest that a list with the necessary information and rules be made available to the guests.

Our stay was very pleasant. The place is well equipped. Bed sleeps incredibly nice. No back issues when you get up. And what a lovely shower. Car also safe behind gates. Can certainly recommend the place. Small walk from cottage to Hartenbos beach walk, as well as the small centre.
Enjoyed our 10 days at the apartment. Was peaceful and quiet close to the house. Will make use of it again if we must go again.
Only problem is contact person not answering phone. We ended up with a key that wouldn't unlock the security door and later had to go find someone. Fortunately, the owner just came home and was able to help us. Street names on the website were misspelled and we had quite a bit of trouble finding the place as a result.
When we choose self-catering, we're looking privacy and that's what we got. Very neat and clean and comfortable. Will book again if necessary to sleep in the area.

The accommodation as such was of good quality. It's just awfully cold in the place and I would recommend that the owner invest in some mats for the bedroom. Was also no face to face contact with owner although contact via phone. Furthermore, accommodation was very good.
The place is very neat, everything you need is there. We struggled a little with the bed, it's big, but it's also hard. Both my wife and I slept awkwardly. It would also be nice if there was just a little shade for the car.

Directions hard to follow. No towels. Wooden access gate needs repair and is extremely difficult to open and close.
The TV sits in an awkward place with uncomfortable seats. 2 persons cannot watch TV in that small space. We suggest they move the TV to the room. One cannot watch 2 TV in the living room/kitchen.
Generally clean, but the bedding is very poor and old. Pillows a nightmare. Access gate is very difficult to open and close.
