Situated in Hartenbos, right next to the amphitheatre, is the lovely Hartenbos Strandhuis, which offers comfortable accommodation for strictly up to 11 guests (including children). It is perfect for 2 families with children. We welcome all guests, but matric and student groups can unfortunately not be accommodated.
The house offers 5 bedrooms as well as an additional room and bathroom in a separate unit. The 11th person will then stay separate from the main house. In the main house, 2 of the rooms are furnished with double beds, while the other 3 has 2 single beds each. The separate unit also has a single bed. All the rooms have built-in cupboards. Each room also has bed lamps that are fitted with rechargeable bulbs that will remain working during loadshedding.
2 Bathrooms are shared between the rooms: one is inside the main house and the other is an en suite-bathroom in the separate unit outside. The first bathroom consists of a shower and bath and the second bathroom has a shower in the other. The second bathroom has its own entrance for all guests to use. The two bathrooms each have rechargeable bulbs that will remain working during loadshedding.
Hartenbos Strandhuis does not provide bedding (sheets, duvets or pillows) or towels. Guests please need to bring their own sheets, bedding and towels.
The kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, microwave oven, fridge-freezer and a separate freezer. There is also a washing machine. All crockery, cutlery, braai bowls, pots and pans as well as serving bowls and cutlery are provided. Cups and glasses for soft drinks, wine and other drinks as well as a braai pot and braai tongs are provided. There is also a gas plate with extra gas cans to use during load shedding.
The unit has 3 fans and during the cooler months hot water bottles are provided.
The dining room has seating for 11 guests and there is also a lounge area with a TV and the full DStv package. The living areas also have rechargeable light bulbs that stay on during load shedding and there is also a load shedding basket with 6 rechargeable bulbs that will be fully charged upon arrival.
Braai facilities are available with a braai grid and a braai pot. The yard is fenced and there is a large lawn at the front and back where children can play safely. Secure parking is available within the yard. There are 2 houses on the plot.
Hartenbos Strandhuis is only a short walk from the nearest beach (400 m) and also close to restaurants, a swimming pool, mini-golf and a water park (600 m).
No large parties including bachelor or bachelorette parties or 21st birthday celebrations are allowed.

The beach house is perfectly located, although it is not by the sea, you can easily walk to the sea. The house is located low and if the wind blows, it doesn't bother you. The instructions to get there and where the keys are were very easy. The house was clean and very tidy upon arrival. Although there is no bed linen, you can order it in advance for a fee. Everything you need for a nice visit is in the house.

Unbelievably nice stay and visit. We only had a little trouble with the one bathroom inside. Will also only move cleaning products to pantry to have food packing space in cupboard by the kitchen instead. TV screen is a bit small for the men's rugby. Place is beautiful, love the decor.
