Accommodation is offered in a choice of 6 luxury tents, 2 caravans and 11 lodge rooms amongst indigenous trees with views of the savanna grasslands. Each tent is furnished with a queen-size bed while the en-suite bathroom in each of the tents is fitted with a shower. The caravans and rooms share communal bathrooms and kitchen facilities. There are also 4 double rooms and single rooms that use communal ablutions. There are no TVs inside the rooms.
The tents have access to a separate, outdoor kitchen which is equipped to cater to guests' basic needs while additional facilities include a braai area and electricity.
Guests can enjoy birdwatching, game viewing, swimming, fishing, guided walks, walking paths, cycling and hiking on the farm. The resort has a day spa, restaurant, picnic facilities and a shop that sells wood, charcoal, ice and cool drinks and more.

Very clean and tidy. Safe place. Everyone very friendly. All that was not nice was that the room did not have a bathroom inside. But the bathrooms were also very clean and tidy.

Only the toilets not in the room are very inconvenient. The food is not nice and dry, with no condiments; nothing rolls are hard. I slept hungry as the restaurant closes at 4 and no restaurants are open nearby for food. Only a nice place for self-catering.

It was okay, but we were 5 adults. They gave us two rooms for a big person to sleep on, and a child's bed is not what we asked for. They said if we wanted a big bed, we needed to pay extra, which is not right. We asked for accommodation for 5 adults.
We were told a few minutes before we checked in that the place we booked is not self-catering. The security guy was washing cups for us. No clean towels daily, just old and smelly ones. Communal toilets and showers. Swimming pool or sauna? So small for even two people to swim. The place is a terrible disaster. I will never book that place again.

Harties is Africa is a good escape place. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly and communicated about the activities you will be doing for the day and reminded you of the appointment. However the tent can be a bit cold, so maybe they can put an air conditioner or provide more blankets.

Just a pity we couldn't boat cruise. The boat was broken, as well as seeing little wildlife or not knowing where we were allowed to walk or not. We just used our own initiative. The tent houses are amazing. We will go again for sure.

Venue is great with loads of different sleeping arrangements. The lapa on the river front was a great space to enjoy time with friends and have a braai. The host was second to none and went the extra mile for us to ensure we had a good time. Would highly recommend this stay.

Harties Is Africa Safari Lodge is excellently located for a weekend getaway from PTA or JHB. The facilities are clean and tidy and the service was fantastic. Good value for money.

Great hospitality and wonderful venue.
However, the place is relatively expensive for what you get. It is on the main road so has a lot of traffic noise. The other visitors hung out until late and although they were not noisy, it was still disturbing. It is advertised that there are daily services. I don't know exactly what the services involve. Beds were not made. Coffee cups were not washed. However, the kitchen was always clean. The staff were very nice and helpful.
The tents are nice and spacious, clean and tidy! The facilities are also very nice and the lawns are well maintained.
Our stay was very nice. The tent houses can get quite hot and the mosquitoes eat you up, but otherwise everything was perfect. I would also suggest putting a light on the braai area instead of using the lamp.
