Upon returning from vacation we slept there again. The lady was always friendly. Place was always clean and neat both times.
It's very compact, but it's the right place for a quick overnight stay. There are no other activities at the guest house, but well located if you want to see Colesberg.

It was so nice to be greeted generously and kindly. Louise kept in touch with SMS and made us feel welcome. Safe and quiet environment. We were able to relax in privacy and spend the night in our melodic unity. It was bitterly cold and an oil heater was used in that room for that reason. Didn't even miss the TV. The bathroom was clean and neat, like the kitchenette. Early in the morning she came out to open the gate for us. A hostess thousand. Will know where to book when going to Cape Town next time.

No TV in room. Because there is little to do and we are sports people, we would have appreciated TV. We were there for a funeral. Because it is winter and very cold, an electric blanket would have helped a lot. No Wi-Fi. Compared to other guest houses in the area, I will do my reference work better in the future.

Our family of 4 stayed at the above overnight accommodation. The room where the 4 of us slept was clean and neatly furnished. All I would suggest is that there should be clear indications of where to park, as the resident and guest parking overlap. The requested time for guests to leave the premises is 08:00 am (where other guesthouses/overnight rooms are 10:00 am), this is very early precisely because guests travel far and thus need to get enough rest.
The rooms were impeccably clean and the hostess Louise was friendly and very accommodating. The value for money is unbelievable. Other establishments in this price class do not even bear comparison! Will definitely be recommending Hartklop to any friends/family looking for a comfortable night's rest.

We drove all the way from Hermanus to Colesberg to attend a funeral. When we arrived, the owners were already waiting for us. We felt comfortable from the start. By the Saturday morning our car was giving trouble and the owners made sure we got to the funeral on time. At the guest house itself, they brought coffee and biscuits and made sure my husband had the necessary help. Until Monday morning, they really went out of their way to accommodate us. Many thanks to 2 wonderful people for your hospitality! I recommend you.
