The bedding was two separate parts which was strange for me. They need to place one large piece especially for a couple. Fortunately my partner could not join me. I found old water and a dead insect in the glass that's between the basins in the bathroom. If I had placed my Toothbrush in there I would've needed a new one.
The room was neat and clean and is located in a peaceful environment.

We had a nice stay. The only problems were the shower that didn't drain well and the WiFi that wouldn't connect.

The one bed in the room had a hole in the top and slept extremely uncomfortably. After a long day's driving, I hardly walked and had to brave a long road again the next day.
Bad toilet smell on entry. No dishwashing area. Sink removed and pipes sawed off. Toilet smell kicks back from sewer and picks up room next door's smell. Third bed is only a mattress on the ground, which limits space for movement. The mattress lies in front of the hanging closet, which cannot be opened. The cupboard is pushed against the wall and the bathroom light switch is behind the cupboard. The only window that can open completely falls out and is completely loose. Bedding is limited. There is only one blanket for three. The double bed only has a fitted sheet and 2 single duvets. The bedding does not look like it was washed last time.
We come to stay with you every year because we are a big family. You meet all our requirements. Clean, tidy and very comfortable place.

After a long time in the car with small children it was the perfect overnight stop with everything that makes it nice and comfortable, so you can rest for the long journey ahead the next day. Rooms are neat with aircons in the sumer and also underfloor heating during the colder days. They have all the facilities for washing etc. and also for a nice braai. Great place in a beautiful town. You should actually stay longer than just one night.
Haus Holzapfel is our preferred stopover in Beaufort West. The units are clean and tidy and very conveniently equipped. Secure parking and very friendly staff quickly makes you feel at home. Nice swimming pool to cool off in after a long day on the road.

This is the second time we've stayed at Haus Holzapfel on the way to the Cape. It is ideal seeing as it is in a quiet area away from the noise of the N1 and the rooms are neat and clean. They remain our first choice of overnight accommodation in Beaufort-West.
It was a wonderful weekend. The units are incredibly beautiful and "upper class" and very neat. We will definitely be back!
We only arrived at the guest house late in the evening, but Marion was very nice and friendly and quickly helped us find our feet. The room was simple but very neat and functional. The location was also perfect, because it's in a quiet part of town. We will definitely use Haus Holzapfel again if we need to stay overnight in Beaufort West and will definitely recommend the guest house to anyone.
We had 3 flats, very very clean. Nicely set up and welcoming. Kitchen was fully equipped, additional welcoming items in the kitchen. Bedding was very clean, towels provided, bathrooms nicely decorated and very clean. All in all a fantastic place to stop over and rest for the night on the way to CT and back to JHB. I strongly recommend it to travellers.

The pillows were as flat as pancakes, I could turn them every which way. No person can sleep like that after a long day on the road or before a long journey ahead with a stiff neck. The summary on the place states that it's German cotton, just the best, but I expected more. The bedding is old and washed out. The shower also hadn't been cleaned, the previous guests' hair was still in the shower drain and it was gross.

Two issues: 1. The unit where we stayed has a parking bay right in front of the door. Opening your car door means you bang the entrance steps for the unit with the bottom of your car door. 2. I did not appreciate the cold shower early the next morning. Perhaps someone forgot to switch on they geyser?
The unit is nice and big. Needs a lot of attention though. Sheets were wrinkled and gave the impression that they were not clean sheets. Gate didn't work so it wasn't very safe. I would not recommend it as the unit we stayed in needs attention.
It's perfect after a long day on the road and it's very relaxing! We were immediately received with kindness and a smile by Marion. She followed up with us while we were still on our way. The room was very neat and beautiful. The pool is a bonus and helps with the terrible heat and also has a nice view. The breathtaking sunset can be seen perfectly. Haus Holzapfel was the perfect place for us to spend the night after 1000 km on the road from Pretoria.

It's a convenient overnight accommodation between Johannesburg and Cape Town. We were particularly impressed with LekkeSlaap who kept us up to date with the arrangements.

The room does not have privacy if you want to use the ablution facilities and the owners sit on the veranda. The shower was also blocked. Also recommend 2 pillows per person.

The only thing that put us off was the fact that it is a bit private due to the owners children who were constantly running up and down in front of our accommodation, and their view of our accommodation.
The fact that they were willing to wait for us after 10pm is commendable.

Fair and good accommodation with very friendly German host and wife, Zwingly and Marion. Unfortunately, there were residents in a house in the neighborhood who were very noisy until 05:00 in the morning and sleep eluded us all night until we had to hit the road again at 6:30 to our destination 650 km away.
I am concerned about the stairs one has to use to get to the unit. It is not safe. There is, however, an own-risk board. It will be difficult for older people or people with small children to use. The unit itself is fantastic!

We were able to find the guest house easily and were warmly welcomed. The room had everything we needed. We had a really good rest before the last few hours to Cape Town. Quite okay for a single night.
Good reception and the room was very spacious and well equipped with everything you need. However the sense of no security did bother slightly. Great stay non the less.
No braai facilities on the second floor. Specifically asked for a room with two separate rooms, but on our return we got 1 room. Lipstick marks on drinking glasses and dust on side of cupboard.
The stay was excellent. Would only recommend that they lower the sinks in the bathrooms, they are inappropriately high and you struggle to wash your hands and brush your teeth. Another recommendation is a dressing table in the rooms for our ladies.
