Everything we needed. Gasvry was very helpful.
We loved the homely feel of our accommodation and the owner gave us special attention in assisting us with an extra mattress for our daughter, the flexibility meant a lot to us. We felt "self-sustaining", yet we knew we could call for assistance and that it was close by. Wonderful to experience the friendly hospitality of Onrus and Hermanus.
Hostess was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed at Haven of Peace & Garden Cottage with our 2 mini schnauzers. Cornelia was a brilliant hostess. Any and all demands were dealt with swiftly and professionally. Our dogs had a lovely time running about in the garden. The actual flat, which is under Cornelia's house, is cozy, warm and very comfortable. It has all the necessary elements to stay in; with a fridge, braai and utensils. But it is also perfectly situated if you want to pop down to Davie's Pool, the restaurants around the area or the walkway for a walkies. It is in Onrus which is so central and you just drive down the road to get to Hemel-en-Aarde Valley or Hermanus. We highly recommend the spot. We had a lovely time!
The place has everything one expects. Everything worked and everything was available there. There is not one thing we lacked.
That stoep with braai is a winner. Well situated. Create a lovely homely atmosphere with the nice garden from the porch. And all of it nice and private.
The cottage was cosy, although a bit smaller than what we had expected (as we were 2 couples, 1 with a baby and 1 with a puppy) but it was comfortable. Whatever we needed was provided and we especially loved the stoep area with the beautiful garden as our view. Cornelia was lovely and very accommodating!

Cornelia is super hospitable and the Garden Cottage is full of character with a particularly beautiful garden. Maybe could have been cleaner, there were a few cobwebs and bathroom sink drain not super clean, but generally acceptable. Tip: Take tons and tons of mosquito repellent, the little fish pond is a breeding ground for mosquitoes and our children walked through!
Very beautiful area and tranquil accommodation.
The only real dilemma was the uneven and poorly constructed garden path from the parking area to the entrance. A microwave would be a valuable improvement.
Was kindly welcomed, but unfortunately the Haven of Peace & Garden Cottage was very neglected and dirty!

Lovely family accommodation with the two units, enough braai and a place to hang out on the large veranda.
I enjoyed the couple of nights I stayed at the Garden Cottage. The kitchen is fully equipped and the comfortable and spacious living and bedroom area make it ideal for a few nights stay. The patio and BBQ area look out over a peaceful garden with pond and mountain views, perfect for reading a book or two. The shower is spacious and all facilities very clean. Full DSTV bouquet was a nice touch for cold evenings. My host, Cornelia, was very friendly and helpful. I look forward to returning for another few nights stay. I can recommend this accommodation.
We were 3 adults and our little 1 year old daughter and we really enjoyed ourselves! What was striking for us is the absolute tranquility and the exceptional and particularly beautiful garden! The place is clean and tidy and we felt very safe at all times! We will definitely stay there again!
The location was great - walking distance from the beach. Comfortable and cosy with all that is required for self-catering - pity we did not have time to utilise the GREAT braai place, but sat on the beautiful stoep (with the lovely sound from the water feature) drinking wine with snacks. The unit has good security for car included. We were welcomed in a very friendly manner and made to feel at home. We enjoyed the fantastic walkways and saw some beautiful sunsets. Love Onrus - must return!

Apartment was nice and tidy, and the large porch with braai area was great for visiting. My teenagers especially appreciated the DStv and WiFi. The kitchenware could be updated, and additional crockery would be welcome. In general, we had a very nice and peaceful visit, the hostess was friendly and the experience very positive. I will definitely stay here again.
Very simple layout and setup. We have found much better accommodation for the same money. Otherwise it was a peaceful stay, nice and close to the sea.
The room was nice and clean and the bedding was fresh and soft. The area is peaceful and quiet. Not too far from the town centre and beach. The only negative point is that there was no parking for our car in the yard. This caught me off-guard because it says on the website "off-street parking" and with this statement I understood that it would be on the premises and not in the street or sidewalk. It gave me a bit of a restless night. Maybe it should be corrected on the website because this is one of the first things I check. There weren't other guests around all the time and I feel that the owner could have given us permission to park our car inside the yard, especially at night. Otherwise it is a lovely place.
Even though the place was clean and tidy, my car had to stand on the pavement throughout the day and night.

We had a very nice stay here. I especially enjoyed the cute dogs that live on the premises.
Our stay was pleasant. The place is tidy, except for shower and sink in the bathroom where the water runs out very slowly. The result is that when you take a shower, you are literally standing ankle-deep in water. There are facilities such as a Weber grill and microwave oven, but there is only a small sink for washing dishes and where do you throw the dirty greasy water? We would also like hair dryers! Furthermore, there is also a drip tray under the toilet which smells very unpleasant and is unhygienic with carpets in the bathroom area. Thank you for the delicious home-baked rusk! Coffee and tea are probably bonus, but not powdered milk.
The cottage with it's facilities are well worth the money, if it would have been a B&B or lodge. It being a self catering facility, there is no kitchenette to prepare food. We were not keen on preparing food outside the facility, since it is not very hygienic with dogs hair all over the furniture. The dogs kennels are placed on the deck right above the outside furniture of the cottage/unit at the bottom.

People need to be aware that it is not serviced. The main bedroom is within a few metres of the main entrance gate so you hear it opening and closing at all hours of the day and night so we didn't sleep at all well. The fridge in the main area where the 2 single beds are makes a lot of noise and we had to switch it off every night. However, the veranda is lovely and big and the ping pong table was great for the kids.
Accommodation was excellent, condition of unit as a whole excellent, peaceful atmosphere and considerate guests who were also present. Would definitely highly recommend Haven of Peace & Garden Cottage.
Will definitely go again and recommend to others. Cornelia was very hospitable and the accommodation was very tidy and well equipped.
The feather bedding is nice and luxurious, but unfortunately I'm allergic. Cornelia went out of her way to bring me another duvet and pillow! Terribly cool.
We coped very wel,l but for self-catering we would have liked to have more equipment. e.g. toaster, hotplate.

The place was beautifully clean and tidy and just a few streets from the sea. We had a great time relaxing in the peaceful surroundings. Although we were aware that the place only had basic kitchen facilities, I kind of missed a separate kitchenette and/or a sink! How about one of those collapsible types perhaps?
