The room was comfortable and beautiful as well as the living room with fireplace and stunning view over the ocean. The location is superb, right next to the beach with spectacular rocks. and next to the breathtaking views over the cliffs. Chrystal, the hostess, was sweet and hospitable.
The service and view are fantastic.
We were offered complimentary wine to compensate as they were unable to upgrade us to a bigger room.
We discovered that Knysna is not our kind of place and the Lodge was nothing special. We had just come from the Karoo which was really lovely and I think its just a matter of preference. . THe Lodge itself looks a bit run down, the bathroom and shower and are not great, bed was comfortable and the view from our room was beautiful. Breakfast was adequate. Our hostess, Crystal, was terrific.

It's a view to wake up to every morning. Had a small problem when we got there but was quickly fixed. Peaceful people and great service.
Beautiful setting, lovely room, excellent breakfast. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi in the room did not work properly, on and off all the time. There should also be a receptionist at the guesthouse from 14:00 each day, not a good idea that guests must supply an exact time of arrival.

Debbie waited for us when we had an unexpected delay. She was a superb hostess. The breakfast was excellent. Bedding super clean. Stunning views of the heads and ocean. Well resourced. Covid protocols observed. Quiet and peaceful ambiance.
Overall place was okay. Bed was terrible and the bathroom was that of a normal house.

The view is absolutely breathtaking. If there is any complaint, we would have liked to have a small fridge in the room to keep food and drinks cool.

Headlands truly has a unique location over the Heads. Rooms are very nice, neat and clean and the views are incredible. Nice hospitable people who run it and the recommendations for places to eat in the area were spot on.
I would recommend Headlands House but not Seahorse room. It was cold and clinical. A fridge in the room would be nice. Debbie was a great host.

Room was quite small, with no air conditioning. The bathroom is very dated and dark and the TV cabinet doors were loose. There was no small fridge for milk or cold water in the room. Of all the 4-star accommodation where we stayed, it was the most expensive with the least to offer. The view was fantastic, but the 35°C and no air conditioning made it very unpleasant.
It's a wonderful place and we will definitely stay there again.

It was a particularly fun time in Headlands! Very nice view, delicious food, all the facilities. However, this is an expensive price to pay per person and cheaper accommodation, which is of the same standard, was also located nearby. Really a nice view of the sea.

The views were unbeatable, the accommodation just as good and the staff so friendly and helpful that we regretted only staying one night.
The views from this spot on top of 'The Heads' are incredibly beautiful; you can see the sea on one side and the Knysna Lagoon on the other. The rooms are clean, modern and very romantic. Our hosts came to serve us breakfast (also delicious hot, homemade muffins!) in bed and shared all information about Knysna and the surrounding area with us in front of the fireplace. Everything is much more personal here and you feel right at home when you check in - nothing is too much trouble for this wonderful guest house! Thank you very much Talia and Gary for an unforgettable beautiful time with you.
We had a very enjoyable 2 nights here. The commanding view of the Heads is breathtaking, and we spent a good few hours chilling in the sun by the pool. Good restaurants at the East Heads, so no need to trek into Knysna. Talia was a very good hostess
