Hedge House is the most amazing guest house I have ever stayed in, and there have been over 100 in the last decade! The genuine hospitality of young host Simon Goble immediately made me feel at home. The location in Cape Town with the big old acre and other trees and homeliness of the house and rooms is so right to my taste. The breakfast was excellent, especially with the healthy choices available such as fresh fruit salad made with more expensive fruits such as mango, peaches, pineapple, blueberries, strawberries etc and yogurt was special. The full hot breakfast of eggs, bacon, mushrooms, baked tomatoes, etc. always had something special with it like crumpets, corn, peppers and green onion cookies, fresh warm croissants, etc. The host Simon also invited us for a nice barbecue on Saturday evening with chops, steak, sausage and two extraordinary salads which I enjoyed together with the other guests from Sweden and England. This weekend was my most special in a long time, and I think the difference lies in the genuine interest of Simon who makes sure you are satisfied. Thanks Simon!
Judy and her team made us feel very welcome, the room was tidy and well equipped. The breakfasts were deliciously fresh. The yard and neighborhood is a peaceful oasis, yet close to busier thoroughfares. We were 100% happy and satisfied, thank you!
The Hedge House really felt like home away from home. Neat, luxurious, safe and hospitable hostess. I requested dinner from Betty's Kitchen and it was truly a surprise - good value for money and delicious.
I will miss the breakfast a lot! I looked forward to the freshly cut fruit and freshly baked bread every morning.
Very friendly owners, lovely king size bed, everything in the room you would need. Very conveniently close to Newlands' cricket and rugby fields as well as Kelvin Grove Club.

A real haven with gorgeous rooms, outstanding food and really friendly, helpful service. Feels like a home from home. Quiet area, quick to drive into the city, very safe. We'll be back and I'd recommend this without hesitation to others!
