Had a great stay. Always good with good sleep. Very neat facilities and you sit right on the shore. Can definitely recommend to anyone looking for a safe, clean and tidy place to stay overnight.
My colleagues stayed at Die Herberg for two nights. The rooms are excellently furnished and tidy. Their breakfast and dinners were of the highest quality. Pieter took good care of them. They liked the area and Die Herberg so much, they just want to organize the year-end function there. We will book with them again every time!

The rooms were nice and clean and the staff very friendly.
Although the location is ideal, we were disappointed in the value we got for our money. The term luxury accommodation is misleading. Especially if one pays a luxury price. The accommodation does not even qualify as standard. It's incredibly hot inside, and basic things like a salad or plastic bowl, as well as tongs, were missing. The accommodation definitely has a lot of potential, but lacks some amenities and goods to qualify as luxury. Even complimentary coffee and sugar will make a difference.
Very nice stay. However, gate does not lock and there is no security person. Not feeling very safe. Place is beautiful and everything is very nice and clean, but I think they just need to inspect the shower floor. It is very dirty! WiFi password was not provided at all.
Neat and well-maintained accommodation. Perhaps a little lacking in finesse, as an example; hand cream and soaps in the rooms, good coffee. Otherwise, I was truly amazed at such a beautifully maintained place in the countryside. Keep up the good work Herberg.
The fishing is very nice there. The children enjoy it there. Excellent. Will advise people to go there.
The charlet was very nice clean has everything you need. The service was excellent. Would really recommend it is worth the money.
On the website it says there is a full DStv package, which is not the case.
My only negative comment is that on the Friday there was a function - no bar facilities or restaurant facilities were availabe to us, my furniture on the patio was also removed to accommodate the function. I feel we should have been offered a discounted rate as not all advertised facilities were made available to us.
Herberg Hotel is one of the very few options in the Oranjeville area of the Vaal Dam. It is quaint and really neat and well-run. The room was spacious and clean and nicely decorated. Included breakfast which was tasty.
The Inn has been neatly redone, and is very close to the dam.
We had a nice stay at the Herberg, there can be some planning with dish soap and dry cloths for the kitchen. It lacks a braai tong and the unit must be serviced daily.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food is very good.
