We were 8 ladies going to play bowling at Hartenbos, George, Outeniqua and Mossel Bay and couldn't have asked for a better place. Herold Bay Heights is a lovely place with a beautiful view. We had such a nice stay. Wendy is an excellent hostess! Wendy goes the extra mile and provides excellent service. All the ladies just couldn't stop talking about how wonderful and neat our stay was. We would stay there again anytime. 10/10 for you, Wendy!
The unit was fully equipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Clean with lots of space and a nice entertainment area with board games which the teenagers enjoyed. The owners were warm and welcoming and always available in case we needed any assistance.

When you visit places on the internet and look at the pictures, you are sometimes deceived with the most beautiful pictures. Wendy's photos don't tell the whole story: The place is luxurious and properly equipped. The bedding and towels are clean and tidy. The kitchen is properly equipped. There is a grill located near the property - barbecue and the visit was wonderful. I recommend the place with pleasure and would also like to visit there again. It always feels half strange to me, as if you are trespassing, as if you are "sticking" to someone for a place to sleep because you have nowhere to go! But I also know that the Cape people are warm, hospitable and open their doors and hearts to strangers with ease! As I say the "geid" is my own personal nonsense! Although we had terrible weather, cold, cloudy, with rain for the whole week at Herolds Bay, Wendy always made sure we did everything and extra effort and tried to make up (as if she could help the weather, it was very dear of her ). She certainly cares a lot about whether her guests are comfortable and satisfied. The unit is fantastically set up for loadshedding! One can still watch TV, still have Wi-Fi and all the independent lamps are on! Even though we didn't have braai weather, the unit has a spacious patio, with a sea view, but it is not furnished with a braai area, that was my only negative about the place to stay. I was also under the impression that we would be able to reach the beach on foot, also far from shops, for food needs, George is your nearest town.

Location is perfect for what we needed. Close to George, but with excellent views of the sea. It was good to hang out with some of the judo friends and the braai room made for nice long chats.

Initially, we were only going to stay here for my sister's wedding, but upon entering we could see that this apartment offers the ideal opportunity for preparation, make-up, dressing and photo sessions. Roomy enough for mother of the bride and bridesmaids to help dress the bride. Make-up artist was ecstatic about all the natural light and the photographer took advantage of many photo opportunities in the stylish interiors as well as the sea view. The bride was ecstatic about her "Top Billing" dressing room. Thank you so much for making us feel so special and at home. Would definitely recommend to any bride! There was very little at the accommodation but it was very cute. Will definitely come again.
We were really spoiled by the host and hostess. We received beach chairs, an umbrella and boogie boards to use. Later we even received a bottle of jam. Information in regards with the local surroundings helped us to find nice fish. The unit is well equipped with quality interior and very neat. If we have to give some critism it would be that the sea view from the downstairs unit is a bit restricted. Still good value for money and we would definitely recommend it.

Many thanks to owners. We were upgraded to the large luxury unit. The coffee, tea, sugar and milk were very welcome and we soon felt at home. All negative thing is that your vehicle sleeps on a ramp without gates. My insurance requires car to be behind locked gates overnight. Felt unsafe with it. But overall if you are ok with parking your vehicle on the street, I would definitely recommend the accommodation.

Herolds Bay Heights was perfectly located for our needs. The facilities are clean, modern and very well appointed. The sea is literally a 5 minute drive from the apartment and is definitely worth a visit. There is a small cafe that sells surprisingly many of the basics and George is 10 - 20 minutes away if shopping is needed. Will definitely book here again!

Safety is good, and the accommodation was clean. Our problem was that we were a group of 8 golfers and we were not allowed to take our golf bags up into the house and had to leave them in the garage to be locked up. This was very inconvenient when we were packing our kit up the next morning. We also didn't realise the owners lived on-site.
This is a lovely home, very comfortable, a lot of attention to detail. The only downside was it was very cold inside (due to facing south there is very little sun during winter months)/ However, the owners went to a lot of trouble to make us comfortable with heaters and electric blankets.
