Designed landscaped camping sites - the Bougainvillea Pergolas & privacy screens/demarcated areas cleverly done with Granadilla creeper, lush green lawns, breathtaking views in all directions, the list goes on. We were welcomed on arrival and felt spoilt with all the attention received from all the 'farm animals' - sheep dog (very cute), chickens (with chicks) and the grazing zebras & antelope close by. Campsite 3 & 2 (lower terrace) most shade (pergolas & grown trees), the top terrace shade (pergolas & young trees). A luxury camping spot! Thank you for your vision in designing & upkeeping of this beautiful place.

Very pleasant, it is about 5 km outside Franschhoek and therefore quiet. But a few great wine estates are quite nearby and only a short drive away. The staff makes the stay a pleasure and are helpful.
Excellent location near Franschhoek. Very nice campsite and very tidy. Only negative comment is the chickens that crow right next to your tent from 6 o'clock in the morning - no sleeping late here. Suggest they let chickens out of their cages a little later. It may sound unnecessary, but weekends are for getting up a little later, especially after a hard week of getting up early. (We understand it's a farm, but just my comment).
It was lovely and well equipped with everything you need, very clean and great location.
We could just relax peacefully in the spacious, modern, but still "cozy" cottage. Conveniently close to town. Only little thing we were looking for was a box of matches when it was load shedding to light the gas stove with as we forgot to pack. Furthermore, there was everything we needed.

There was a problem between the website and Heuwelsig's "houserules". Heuwelsig's rules say no tents, but the website says nothing about that. Pretty much messed everything up, we got there late. Owner made us feel like she was doing us a favor by letting us in. Make it clear that we are not allowed to take and post any photos. It put quite a damper on our day. So far no apology from anyone about the misunderstanding.
I would like to suggest a pensioners discount, but otherwise, all over a nice place!

We were warmly received at our beautiful accommodation. Everything safe and quiet and very tidy. We had a great time at Heuwelsig. The unit makes your weekend away so much easier because everything is available, even a dishwasher and flash. It's the little things that matter. People with small children are made aware of the dogs on the premises. They didn't bother us though. I definitely recommend Heuwelsig to those who want to escape the hustle and bustle and who want to spend a quiet weekend with loved ones.

It's a neat cottage, but is advertised as 2 bedrooms for 4 adults. Please note that there is only one bathroom and that you have to walk through the main bedroom to get to the bathroom. So two of the adults have to walk through the other's room to get to the bathroom. There is also no bathroom door. Just a curtain. Definitely not suitable for 4 adults.

Set in a unique location, against the shade of the Franschhoek Mountains, accommodation comprises of three luxurious self-catering cottages and eight separately fenced campsites, each with private ablutions and two campsites, with newly built, shared ablution.
All self-catering units are equipped with comfortable king-size beds, en-suite bathrooms, kitchen or just kitchenette, smart TV Netflix only, Wi-Fi, private entrance and secure parking. We offer 80% solar backup and the lights will be on during load shedding.

Our campsites can accommodate 2 adults each, are situated on grass and have a built gazebo for shade (see room description for more detail). They offer private ablutions, electrical points, water taps, portable BBQ facilities (bring your grid) and Wi-Fi at the hotspot. Solar back-up at the ablutions only during load shedding.

To cool down in the hot summer days, there is a sparkling fenced eco-pool at the bottom of the garden. Guests are afforded safe parking on the premises.
