Hidden Gem is a charming and unique north-facing, self-catering holiday home facing the game reserve carefully hidden away with the most privacy, space, and nature around it in the Langebaan Country Estate. It offers close proximity to the many beaches, a golf course, with putt-putt, a driving range, and many more lifestyle estate amenities like an Oxygym and sports facilities making it perfect for families, golf enthusiasts, runners, game viewing, mountain biking, bowling, tennis, soccer, fishing, boating, kite, foil and windsurfing, horse riding, dirt bikes, travellers and adventurers or groups of family and friends.
This property can accommodate up to 7 guests at a time in 3 en-suite bedrooms. The main bedroom contains 2 single beds with a large bathroom fitted with a toilet, basin, bath, and shower. The second and third bedrooms are comfortably furnished with queen-size beds and feature en-suite bathrooms fitted with showers. Each bedroom has a TV and a TV Box, linen, hair dryer, room fans, hand pump soaps at the basins, and bath towels are provided.
The home boasts a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, and a central 6-seater dining table. The lounge has comfortable couches as well as a sleeper couch and a TV with an Android 11 TV Box. For guests' entertainment, we supply free fast fiber Wi-Fi. A router UPS is also available to power the Wi-Fi during power outages.
The living area leads onto a patio with outdoor seating and a built-in braai overlooking the estate game reserve and the bottom of the 12th fairway with 3 new dams on the right where Pied Avocet, Coot, Duck and Flamingoes have made home. The long front patio leads to the solar-warmed 12 m-long lap pool. The pool pump switches on during midday hours to warm the pool. Guests are to leave the pool cleaner in the pool and not tamper with the pump settings.
Guests are afforded secure on-site parking. The estate also offers a golf course, a driving range with a coffee shop, a clubhouse with a restaurant and lounges with fireplaces to enjoy a drink and the sunset over the lagoon, a Pro Shop, a restaurant, and many more sports facilities such as soccer fields and nearby parks for kids to enjoy.

4 guests' feedbackOur stay was phenomenal, the host is friendly and assisted when needed. The accommodation was clean when we arrived, very modern and spacious.
It was an impromptu trip and we are happy that we could be accommodated last minute.
This stay would have been very enjoyable, had it not been complicated by receiving a 12-page lease two days before the start of our stay. The lease is one-sided and does not encourage anyone to have a relaxing and care-free weekend. The terms and conditions on the booking page make no mention of this, and I would request a copy of it before making your payment. In terms of the house itself, the basic amenities are available with a lovely lap pool; however, I was a bit disappointed as it was advertised as "heated" but was too cold for swimming. At the time of staying (15/3/24), the en-suite in the kids' bedroom was still under construction and left the room with an unpleasant smell of raw concrete and sealant while sleeping, which was not mentioned to us before the booking or during communication with the owner prior to check-in. I wouldn't recommend this property if you have young kids.
Pre-approval harassment for deposit. He hid away the key and only told us 1 hour and 10 minutes later after arriving at the place where we could find the key. We paid for 6 people with 3 bathrooms, but the bathroom was under renovation. We made our booking long ago; this should have been done before our arrival or make sure you don't take guests. Loads of personal items laying around from the host, such as laptops. The pool should not be advertised as a "heated pool".

Never leave anything flammable on the stove hob or in the oven in case it gets left on and causes a fire.
Wash and rinse all dishes, and dispose of all garbage in the designated area in the driveway. Please ensure that you separate the trash according to the recycling bins provided in the main kitchen. Remove the trash from the house before you leave so that we can further sort it and check for any inventory that may have been misplaced.
