The road noise is a bit disturbing at times, but it's not the guest house's fault - it's just the only road through Knysna.
We felt so safe and at home.
Everything was in good order. The only negative point is that there is a small fridge in the room and when I asked if they might have any cold drinks that I could buy, the answer was initially negative. But the owner then later brought me a soft drink, free of charge. It would only be good if, for example, they put a few bottles of water and a few bottles of soft drinks in the small fridge and then just add them to the final bill, should the guests drink from them.
Easy to find, clean and very helpful regards things to see and places to eat. Will definitely stay again.
Information about Knysna's places to eat was spot on. Good service and friendliness of owners made our stay special.
Beautiful place with a very nice view of the lagoon. The unit was super clean and regularly serviced. The breakfast was delicious.
Hide-Away Guest House once again delivered a fabulous holiday experience for my wife and I. This is our second year staying there and hosts Colleen and Cecil welcomed us back like old friends. The breakfast, as always, were superb and whether sitting outside on the patio with that awesome lagoon view, or inside in the dining area made for an awesome start to the day. In a nutshell ─ great location, great hosts, great holiday.

Perfect place if you're looking for accommodation in Knysna. The room are big and neat. The view is stunning! Definitely worth the money. This little place is close to everything. The owners were very friendly and patiently described all the must-see spots in Knysna.
We spent 5 nights here. Colleen welcomed us with a glass of wine and first got to know us a bit and gave us information about what there is to do as well as the best restaurants. The place is neat and clean with a very nice view. We got breakfast on our balcony every morning. I would definitely recommend the place, the owners were great!

It was ideal for a mother-daughter getaway weekend. Delicious breakfast, friendly and prompt service. Very special and homey. Unfortunately we had cold weather otherwise we would have swam in the crystal clear blue pool for sure.
We had a room with a view of the lagoon - it was very nice. Good value for money - close to town. Will stay there again.

We were truly so pleasantly surprised with what we discovered at Hide-Away! Our booking was a "last minute" decision, and the price and availability so close to town during the Oyster Festival was already good. We were really warmly welcomed, supposedly with a warm cloth, and we got a wonderful room, with a beautiful view of the lagoon! From a warm blanket on the bed, to the little details in the bathroom, power plugs for all our appliances and of course the wonderful hospitality of Colleen and Cecil (who is apparently a great cook too!); there really was NOTHING more we could have asked for! We will DEFINITELY return to Hide-Away again! Thanks again for the wonderful accommodation!

Very friendly welcome. Excellent stay. Received good advice on entertainment and places to visit in town. It helps a lot for someone who doesn't know the area.
It is very convenient when taking part in the events. The room was spotless and the service was great. I would recommend the Hide-Away Guest House any time.
The guest house is ideal for the hot summer days, but I do not recommend it for winter stays as it is located on the shady side of the lagoon.
Clean and tidy, friendly owners. The breakfast could improve a bit.
