12 guests' feedbackWe broke away for a few days to the Southern Cape and had a wonderfully peaceful and very comfortable time at Higgs Hope Self-catering. The 2 bedroom house was very well appointed, had everything we needed, was very clean and tidy, and private. The hostess was very accommodating and looked after us very well. We would happily stay at Higgs Hope Self-catering again and definitely recommend it.
We had such a nice time at Willie's beautiful place, although it was painfully neat and she paints the most beautiful paintings and it hangs there for the joy of one's soul. We felt very welcome and comfortable. The view is breathtaking. Our hostess was off the books, thank you very much.
We immediately felt welcome. The unit is very comfortably furnished, very neat and private. A beautiful view of the lake and the sea. We had a wonderful rest and will stay there again.
Higgs Hope is well equipped with everything one needs and more than enough crockery and kitchenware. Willie is an excellent, helpful and generous hostess. Thank you. The view is beautiful and the place is very clean, tidy and spacious, with good linen and a comfortable bed. We really enjoyed our visit there and can highly recommend it.

The view from the balcony and bedroom was something else. Willie and Golden's hospitality makes you feel like "long lost family". Will definitely make a visit there again.
This place is amazing especially if you want to break away and just enjoy the nature.The place was spectacular, clean and you get an amazing view from your bedroom and balcony. The owner is super friendly, and she went above and beyond to make our stay very special. I definitely recommend them. I will be going there again very soon.
My husband and I spent 3 wonderful weeks with our daughter and her husband at Higgs Hope. Unfortunately the weather was not always in our favour but even that didn't hinder our stay. The unit was lovely and clean with spectacular views and most amenities were available. I would definitely recommend booking with this delightful host, Willie. She will try and accommodate as best she can. It was like coming home. Great holiday and hopefully will be back some day.
Higgs Hope is a hidden nest and ideal for people who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The apartment is surrounded by nature and a cup of coffee on the veranda, while appreciating the beautiful view, is enough to make anyone relax. The hostess, Willie, makes a special effort to make her guests feel at home and help is at hand if you need it. I would recommend Higgs Hope to people who want to enjoy rest, peace and quiet while spending quality time together.
The guest house has an incredible view from the rooms as well as from the comfortable veranda. The people are extremely nice and more than willing to help with anything. Everything is extremely well organized, comfortable and staying at Higgs Hope is simply wonderful.
Willie makes it her priority to provide the best service to her guests in a particularly peaceful, stylish environment that nourishes the soul and recharges batteries.

A refundable breakage deposit of R1500 is payable on arrival in cash. The deposit will be refunded once everything has been checked and no stains or breakages were found.A standing braai for outside, a Weber-braai and an electrical braai is available inside the unit.
We currently stream a full DStv package to the unit. From 1 April this may change, considering what DStv decides.
Guest will need to bring their own beach towels. The main bedroom has a double bed and the second bedroom has 2 single beds. There is a lounge with a couch with a pull-out single bed. Linen must be replaced every week but it must be handed in.
