Very nice stay. Would only request not to be in unit with stairs going up. Due to a knee injury there are few rugby days, and climbing stairs is difficult. But that's for next time since I didn't highlight it beforehand.

Very nice stay and lovely quiet surroundings. I would just like to make a recommendation about the electric car gate for entry, quite dangerous for your car if you don't push back fast enough when leaving the premises. Your vehicle can very easily take a bump through the gate. I'm just mentioning because I think it's a challenge for many.
Was able to have fun around the pool and in the living areas. Room very spacious with enough cupboards and a large bathroom.

Highlands Lodge exceeded all my expectations. Beautiful gardens, very safe, peaceful atmosphere, very clean and excellent service.
Location excellent, parking safe and very close to sleeping place, ground floor, stairs are not for older people, excellent service and friendliness. Garden gives special atmosphere. Electricity assistance with Eskom's load shedding, with light WiFi and gate that works. Nice stay.

All problem is the rooms that are upstairs. The TV sounds, shower and footsteps on wooden floors are extremely disturbing in the evening and early morning. The other rooms closest to the office are the best.
I was pleasantly surprised with the friendly welcome and the neat, clean accommodation. The location is perfect and security great. I will definitely visit Highlands Lodge again.

The staff is very friendly, the rooms and the garden are beautiful and it was a very pleasant stay. I would really recommend it. It's quiet and I never even felt like I was in a city. The manager also came to ask if everything was okay. They were very accommodating. The food was very affordable and tasty. All the facilities for the self-catering were exactly what we needed.
I can really recommend the place, the staff was very friendly and helpful, place was clean and nicely prepared. The breakfast was worth every penny. Don't leave it out! On the way to the Cape, my Dad decided to visit his brother that evening and spend the night, i.e. there were only 3 of us and not 4 at the time. The Highlands Lodge owner then decided on her own to give us credit for one person. I really didn't expect it or think it was necessary at all, but she was kind enough to offer it.
All COVID-19 regulations were followed. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Everything was carefully and hygienically prepared.
It was truly the best service I have received so far. The most friendly and helpful people who only want to give the best to their guests!
Only downside was me having to go to a business function with my car covered in huge bird poo drops. It was a sight for sore eyes the entire day.
The rooms have been made up with every single detail thoroughly thought through. Each employee makes you feel welcome and you can see the love and passion they have for the guesthouse. We felt so comfortable and relaxed after traveling from Pretoria as we were busy moving to Durbanville and absolutely loved the brekkie we could have before our big day of unpacking began.
