15 guests' feedbackAls was clean and tidy. Attention to detail was striking. Rainbow and brown trout caught. Above average size trout. Our dog really enjoyed it too. Nice walk. Beautiful herds of bald goats.
We had an incredibly nice weekend at Highveld Trout Lodge. The house is fully equipped with everything you could need. It's neat and clean. It really looks like the pictures and the hosts communicated well and provided information. We will definitely visit again.
The location is so private and the view is breathtaking!
It was absolutely awesome. Everything is clean and tidy. Quiet day and night that's absolutely what we went for. The sausage dogs also enjoyed themselves. The pond right in front of the unit just brings peace to one's soul. We had a nice walk, rowed on the paddle skis, now and then had to take a dip in the pond, which was just a balance problem. The cry of foxes in the distance just after dusk and the stars in the dark night reflecting on the pond is something you don't see or hear in the town. It really was for me and if I listen to the comments of grandma and family one of the best beautiful places we have ever been on a December holiday. We also had fantastic weather. Jo-Marie was also just a WhatsApp message away and if you asked something, it was attended to immediately.
We were 2 families who came to relax and fish, the layout and layout of the house was great, bathrooms modern and tidy, veranda cosy. Fishing was tough (wind blowing very bad) but satisfactory, just didn't expect bass in the trout pond (not a problem). Will definitely visit again.

We really enjoyed our time at Highveld Trout Lodge. The unit is well equipped, comfortable and there is enough space for a large family and children. The unit could do with a good spring clean. Daily cleaning services are advertised but not included and I had to ask when the cleaner comes in. The unit is said to be self-catering and cleaning is on request only. We were often told 'this is the countryside' after we had problems with water. The owner and farm manager were helpful in solving the problem. Apart from the few problems, we had a very nice stay and the men caught good fish. Would recommend Highveld Trout Lodge.
Great stay at Highveld Trout Lodge. The place is neat and well equipped. We had a great time inside by the fireplace and outside by the pond. Have a nice walk on the farm and enjoy the frequent visits by the Boer goats. My dogs really enjoyed it too.
What a place! Great fishing literally from the stoep. Well, stocked dam with good size fish. The house has everything you need. It's also nice to go to a venue where you are the only guests on the farm. Good communication from the owners. Go and give it a try, you will not be disappointed.
The setting, tranquility, and stoep from which to enjoy the view were just magic. And the house spoils you with a sense of luxury. The hosts are very helpful and kind.
We really enjoyed our weekend at Highveld Trout Lodge. The house is equipped with absolutely everything you could need. The fly fishing was top notch. We will definitely return and can definitely recommend it.
Very nice stay. Fantastic view from the house over the pond and farm. House was very clean, and very well appointed. The dogs also enjoyed the place, and freedom. Walking route also very nice and comfortable. Will definitely recommend it to others, and will definitely go again.
Very friendly hosts, responds to any questions immediately. Great for a relaxing getaway with a super clean and well-stocked house. Will definitely be visiting again soon!
The views from the house are stunning. If you are looking for a relaxing atmosphere this place is perfect. We did the 5km trial run and it was well-marked.
