What a lovely place! Upon receipt, our bags were simply carried in! Is the most beautiful house. We were booked into one of the upper rooms. Morning coffee on the small balcony was something special. Great service throughout. I forgot my phone charger there and with the kind help of Sean on the phone I quickly got it back. Breakfast was delicious and tasty. Love the lavender. Accommodation is very good. The rooms are neat, clean and the decor is outstanding. The service is terrible. No-one received or assisted us with queries. Breakfast was bad. No coffee or butter and most of the buffet was done by the time we arrived. Yogurt left in bowl without ice and was therefore warm.
On arrival at the guest house there was no one to receive us. Someone else staying at the guest house who was standing outside at the time ended up opening the gate for us. Once inside we had to ask the gardener to call someone to help us. The person who then received us did not know about our booking or which room we booked, so had to first call the owner. We ended up getting a different room to the one we actually booked. The lock on our door was wonky, so we struggled to unlock the door every time. We could also hear every single little noise from the room upstairs, which was incredibly disruptive. We could also hear everything from the room adjacent to our bathroom. There is covered parking, although not enough for a full house. The accommodation itself is absolutely stunning inside and out, and the location is great, close to all amenities. The breakfast provided was delicious, apart from a large piece of egg shell in it. If it was not for the complete lack of service this would be the absolute best place to stay.

Wow! Well done to the owner and staff. It's close to the main routes, but still peaceful, quiet and really a stunning place with all its antiques and neat garden. My daughter and I loved our stay at Hill Manor. We felt very welcome from the second we parked our vehicle. The decor was absolutely stunning and it was made extra special by the care that had been taken with decorating each and every room. Little extras like chocolates on the bed, cappuccino packets and ice cold bottles of water; these all add up and make the long trip to Potch worthwhile. The breakfast was absolutely scrumptious and we left there feeling prepared for our very long day ahead. We will most definitely stay there again if our daughter gets accepted to Potch University.

Thank you to Sean for a wonderful stay. We attended a wedding at the Snowflake Flour Mill. Hill Manor was a great location as it was around the corner from the venue. Very neat and clean and spacious for a self catering unit. Sean also arranged a special early breakfast for us. I was very happy to stay in such a clean, well decorated and enjoyable self catering unit.
From the start of our trip there was constant communication from Shaun the owner of Hill Manor. He kept wanting to know what our situation was and when we would arrive. I am a person who travels a lot, but the fact that my final destination's owner stays up to date with my travel progress is a first. We were received with warm hospitality which absolutely remained at the same standard until the end of our stay. Apart from the fact that we lived in this beautiful, neat French environment, the staff's services were of the highest quality at all times. Because we were away all day we only requested breakfast and it was a surprise every morning. I will definitely only stay at Hill Manor in the future if I spend the night in Potchefstroom.
Everything is very neat and beautiful. Room is nice and there is everything one needs. Breakfast is more than enough and very nicely done. Only points of criticism are perhaps that there is no air conditioning, but a fan. Ice water was provided. (I should add that the whole country experienced a heat wave. There is also a lack of a clear name plate as the address was not given in the email - as far as I can remember.

Everything you need is there. Host provides excellent service. The host does everything in his power to make you feel at home and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Accommodation is beautiful, peaceful and clean. Definitely our new place to stay in Potch.
