There was enough space like a house, my children could play and watch TV, I could cook good food that was good for us. The best thing is that in the hot weather we could turn on the aircon. I was able to bathe my children and we slept wonderfully. Awesome over.
Did not spend the night in Hillandale due to the fact that the place where we would stay was not suitable. Mrs A Theron went out of her way to accommodate us and put us in one of the chalets (at no extra cost). I just mark photos as "yes" - can't comment though.
Reception was friendly and made us feel comfortable. Security gate at the entrance and the vehicle is parked in the open.
On arrival, office phone changed over to fax. Had to call the agent to get the contact number. If the aircon is turned on, the power trips. Had to call to put power back on again. Didn't have any water in the morning before departure.
Excellent reception, very tidy, will definitely go again.
Neat accommodation that is very well maintained. I would definitely stay there again!
Would suggest an electric blanket or heater in the room. I understand you need to air the place by opening the windows. Just remember to remind the guests of it when they arrive there in the winter.
Will not book there again! Bedding was dirty!
The room was neat enough, but the garden around it is quite unkempt. There is no reception at the accommodation, and one must first drive to a central reception. We were not informed about it in advance. The bathroom has no towel rails.
I will recommend Hillandale to my friends if they want to spend the night in Laingsburg. The bed was soft after a long day on the road and the breakfast was very tasty.
