Situated in Somerset West, Hillside Cottage offers comfortable self-catering accommodation in a peaceful studio cottage high up on the slopes of the Helderberg mountains, surrounded by trees. Listen to the sound of owls hooting as you fall asleep. The tastefully decorated self-contained cottage is situated at the front of a residential property shared with the owners. Guests have access to a shared driveway and front gate but the cottage itself is separate from the main house.

The open-plan studio cottage comprises a double bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and a living and dining area. There is a separate bathroom with a shower. The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering with a fridge, an oven and stove, and a microwave, as well as a washing machine for guests convenience. The cottage is equipped with fibre Wi-Fi connection, and a wood-burning stove for those chilly winter evenings.

The cottage also features an outside deck and a small garden surrounded by trees. There is a swimming pool on the property which guests are welcome to make use of; please be aware that the owners have children who love to swim, so a quiet swim is not guaranteed.

The accommodation also has a small solar system. The only appliance that does not work during load shedding is the geyser, and therefore hot water cannot be guaranteed.
