We were pleasantly surprised with our accommodation. As beautiful as something you would find at a 5-star lodge. Every need was catered for from mosquito repellent to matches if you wanted to light a candle. Not that load shedding is a problem here, Hillside is completely self-sustaining and not dependent on Eskom power. We had a lovely time on the stoep and looked out on the beautiful surroundings. The breakfast, with real farm eggs (courtesy of the 8 year old grandson), was just what we needed before we started the day. Words don't really do Hillside justice, come and see for yourself. Thank you for your hospitality.
Quiet farm atmosphere with beautiful scenery. Owners very hospitable and give personal attention and service. Units new and modern equipped and no load shedding (off the grid). Highly recommend.

The owner made the effort to receive us very late in the evening. The hospitality and the tranquility immediately made us feel at home.
Liz welcomed us very kindly and went out of her way to make everything as comfortable as possible for us. Even had a braai and wood ready at our request that we would like to braai. The breakfast was 10 out of 10.

Liz and her husband went to great lengths to make our time on their farm special. We had a wonderful walk and enjoyed the tranquility. Close to N2, so ideal for overnight stop on journey to north coast.
This is our second stay at Hillside Farm, we love the quiet and peace that Hillside offers, its easy to get to and the breakfast was great, well worth a visit.
We had a warm welcome from Liz and soon felt at home. The Bungalow is spacious and comfortable. It was very quiet and safe there. Dinner provided by Liz was good taste and good value. Breakfast was very good too and we had a nice conversation with Liz. Would definitely stay there again.
This is an excellent overnight facility. We were received very kindly and the owners went out of their way to make us feel at home. The breakfast came from the hostess's kitchen and everything was home made or baked.
