Loved the place. Yes, it was cold, but you have everything you need to get warm. Really had everything and communication was quick and accurate.
Our stay at this historic cottage was comfortable and enjoyable. The cottage is spacious and well-equipped for a weekend away. The host provided great amenities during our stay. Gorgeous courtyard and garden at the back, perfect for a nice morning coffee.

Annatjie was extremely helpful, despite the fact that she was not there in person. Walking from a contemporary to an ancient environment had been an experience. So much to view and observe. Definitely a place to stay the night.
On our first night there unfortunately there was no water in the house - I understand that there is no water in the town during load shedding, but after the power came back on there was still no water. It did work again the next day. I would suggest that the house be upgraded a bit to make it more "loadshedding proof" like most of the other guest houses in Graaff-Reinet. The towels didn't really smell clean/fresh, luckily we packed our own towels and were able to use them. These are really my only complaints - we really enjoyed the house.
House is well equipped and comfortable with spacious rooms and bathrooms. There is no WiFi and the mattresses are very hard and uncomfortable. House was also quite dusty.
Would recommend that a generator be provided as Graaff-Reinet has 6 hours of loadshedding at a time. No burglar bars in front of windows so we can't open for cool air. Was incredibly hot. It is bad that the car has to be parked in the street. Beautiful antiques that we admired with wide eyes.

The house is excellently furnished with a very nice patio at the back. The rooms are spacious. The area is quiet. The guest rooms are interestingly and comfortably furnished. Would love to stay here again.

A very quaint place that feels like you are staying in someone's home. Value for money is rated 3 star because we were only 2, but it sleeps 4 which makes it good value. Well located, parking on the street made me slightly nervous but was not a problem. I liked the extra touch of basic toiletries and medications. All told, it's a good spot for an overnight or better still as a base for exploring the area.
No work place in kitchen, too full. No WiFi even though the website says there is. One bed did not have an electric blanket. Braai facilities could improve. Lovely old furniture and lovely wood dust. Bedding old.
