We had a very comfortable stay. Would have liked to stay longer.
I was received kindly and easily felt at home. My TV in the room was not working, but a plan was immediately made to solve the problem. Rooms are spacious, beautiful decor and very safe. Bonus is the generator that provides power in loadshedding times. I understand that new owners have taken over and you can see renovations are a high priority. Overall a pleasant stay!
The place was clean and safe. 24h security on gate duty which was helpful (we returned from a concert late at night).
The bed was comfortable. The shower and bath leaking. So dangerous. Slippery floor. The geyser made so much noise like a truck engine. The garden is beautiful.
Room 2. Shower is musty. Shower leaks wet entire bathroom floor. Linen never changed in 5 days. Clothes hangers are a shame to present to guests. Bedside lamp out of order and was only repaired on day 3 after we reported it on day 1. Coffee/tea not refilled upon our arrival and only refilled after 2 days after we had to ask for it. Toilet paper is gas station pit stop quality. Outrageous to pay R1800 per night for this type of accommodation. Will definitely never stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

I was pleasantly surprised. The place is so nice and peaceful and the staff is incredibly friendly. I can't remember the name of the lady who served us soft drinks at the bar and took our order for dinner, but I want to say a big thank you for her and Richard's kindness and good service. Upon our arrival, Sarah went to show us our rooms and she was just so friendly and made you feel right at home. My bed slept so well and it's so nice to get into a bed with spotless sheets. I would recommend Hole in One to anyone, whether business or private.
I booked and payed for the small honeymoon suite but was placed in a ordinary room and was only transferred the next day.
The first room given to us was right next to a marquee with a party, we could not stay in that room! The step up from the passage into the room is unusually high!
They had a birthday function that had to finish at 17h00 in the afternoon but at 17h45 the noise and partying only got worse and louder. We complained to reception more than once but they kept saying the people were going to leave now. We complained again and said we had to get some rest, because we were driving far early the next day. My husband threatened that if they didn't come up with a plan he was going to approach management. Our room was right next to the function room and there were no other guests checked in. Finally they came to get us and took us to their suite.
Place was dirty, sofas, walls, carpets, curtains. Drains stank! Found an earring and baby's bottle cap under the bed from previous guests when we wanted to move 2 single beds against each other so that children sleep together, for the price one expects at least a clean and tidy place. Terribly disappointed. Photos lie!
It was very nice to be able to watch quite a few TV channels (including channel 144). The breakfast was really tasty. The service was excellent and the place itself is very beautiful inside and out.

The room was a huge disappointment. The small honeymoon suite does not have a balcony as advertised. There is a porch. However, there were no keys for the door and, and, and. 3 hours later I was in another room and we struggled with keys again. Disappointing weekend. Not at all what I was hoping for.
The customer service is poor, and the cook rats run over the bowls from which you create breakfast.

The rooms were beautiful and well equipped. There was secure parking near my room. I was eager to get back to my room and rest after each appointment. The breakfast was unforgettable and I could enjoy the meal in my room.
No person on sight to check out with on Sunday morning. Had to leave the key with the gardener. Breakfast is supposed to be from 6 but by 7 there was still no one. So I had to forego breakfast to get to the airport. Nice rooms but needs a night manager or someone on duty early in the morning.
I've been using the site for years, I've never complained, but I was stunned by the poor state of the family room. We couldn't turn off the living room lights, switch broken. The 1 toilet was dirty, my daughter's TV had no signal, the drains smelled when we showered and that smell hung around all night. The lamps did not work and my daughter's lamp did not even have a light. At breakfast, the staff were unpleasant. For example, the corner wall was completely damaged and closed up with a bag or something. Very sorry, but I would not recommend anyone to Hole in One.
The service is excellent. You feel welcome from the moment you enter trough the gates. Beautiful, clean parking area. Staff friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful, clean and spacious. The bathroom is excellent. Full marks for everything you get!
The rooms are comfortable and clean. Lovely breakfast! They were not aware of our deposit and we had to show proof of payment, which was somewhat annoying.
Booked two rooms, only one was right. The second room was not serviced and the shower and bath both leaked water onto the floor. Breakfast menu poor, no variety service from staff. It was good place, has deteriorated a lot, will not stay there again. Not value for money.
Were told we had to pay an extra R650 if we wanted breakfast. Stayed there for a wedding as we travelled far. When we came back to the Hole in One there was a massive teens disco party, music incredibly loud right outside our window with strobe lights flashing in not to mention kids fighting outside our bedroom hitting each other breaking glasses. The following morning parking lot was full of beer cans and empty alcohol spirit bottles. Left there with little sleep, no breakfast and very unhelpful staff. Barely greeted us when we walked in. I will never go back to this place nor recommend.
When we arrived they got our reservation wrong. Our reservation was for 2 rooms for 4 persons. They only booked 1 room for one person. I paid a deposit of R1400 according to them I only paid R900. Fortunately they were not fully booked and were able to give us another room. Late in the evening they woke us up by knocking on our bedroom window to unlock it for other guests because they didn't have a key. The place has a lot of potential, but the management will need to address certain problem areas. I will not stay there again.
No items in the fridge for something nice. We had to share a towel because there was only 1 towel and we were 3 people. Music from the wedding was disturbing. Music from the other party was distracting.
