The cosy lounge has a beautiful wood fireplace which adds to the ambiance for those frosty winter nights. There is also a gas heater (there is a winter gas charge). There is WiFi, and a TV with a selection of DSTV channels. The unit has an inviting patio with outdoor dining furniture and braai facilities for those warm and delightful summer days.
Two small pets are allowed by prior arrangement at an extra cost per pet per night, but please note there is no fence around the house. Any damage done by your dog will be to your cost.

We had a wonderful stay and will only visit here if we can stay. 3 Gino's need a new microwave. The turntable does not work. Also a hairdryer.
Place was clean and bedding fresh outside for dirty plates and utensils, dishwasher not working after I personally asked the agent and she confirmed everything was working. Oil heater in one room also did not work. Would I recommend the place? I can't decide.
It's a really nice place with a good view. It's quiet and close to the trails.
Our short stay was nice but a few issues were noted that could be looked at. The large electric oil heater was not working (complained, no resolution). Smaller oil heater was working and used in second bedroom. DSTV was not working (complained, no resolution). Wifi not working (complained, no resolution). Electric blankets in second double bed, not working. Due to windows in the bedrooms not sealing properly there was an influx of insects and the air temperature was super cold, without the above oil heater to heat the room it was not very pleasant. There was a fireplace but even running this made very little difference in the air temperature whilst trying to sleep. Nevertheless, the stay was not terrible, but a bit of attention to the little creature comforts would help.

A nice cozy house with beautiful views to two sides. The large fireplace was wonderful for the cold winter evenings. We were also surprised to see that one of the hiking trails passes close to the complex. Als was very neat and clean, the dishwasher did not want to wash the dishes completely clean for some reason. I would also suggest that thicker curtains are needed in room 3 as the complex's street light is right in front of the room window and illuminates the room at night. Otherwise we had a very nice stay.
The house is comfortable with a nice fireplace and everything one needs. Unfortunately there were some things that didn't work. We reported it but soon realized it didn't help. The WIFI did not work. The DStv only worked for one day. The outside light by the braai and one of the heaters do not work. There is a problem with the dishwasher. Queen-size beds are also advertised, but there are only double beds. Despite all these things, we still had a great time.
Lovely house. A few aspects: Warm blankets do not work for everyone. Only one heater is working. Cobwebs in kitchen. Exterior lights not working. No covered parking or working wifi as stated. Window handle broken. Fireplace draws nicely and view is lovely.
Place was not very clean, there was dog/cat hair on the furniture and carpet. The WiFi didn't work. There was no one to receive us, a cleaner opened for us. After we checked in and went to town (and couldn't get in again at the gate - which was open when we got there -), I contacted the number on the reservation. The lady said we had to pick up another key from the hotel. She never let it be known that there was such an arrangement. I also notice that the security is low, because we could only drive in because the gate was open. Another lady who came to check the key later in the afternoon then said that it must have been the gardener who opened the gate.
Very clean, quiet and definitely worth it. Will stay there again.

The current pics on the system don't do justice to the real thing. Views are amazing, the house warm and homely. Biddy really made our stay comfortable, much appreciated. Just a few pointers of improvement: loadshedding is not about to go away soon, so they need to invest in loadshedding lights. Burglar bars just for added safety. The road leading to the complex to be scrapped often because the short drive is horrendous for the car. But otherwise all else in order.

House has everything you need and lovely outdoor area! Lovely open lawns, and house was nice and spacious with more than enough space for 6 adults. And has all the necessary equipment to have a nice long visit. And a fireplace!
We had to wait 45 minutes in front of the agents' business in order to collect the keys. Despite having phoned the agent at 13:30 to let them know our ETA. Mark was going to get his wife, Biddy, to phone us back with alternative arrangements as he had another appointment at 4pm. However this never happened. Nobody answered their cell phones nor did they read the subsequent WhatsApp that we sent. The outside light on the patio does not work. There are no ice trays in the freezer. The fridge also did not work and we noticed from previous comments about the fridge not working.
Braai facilities are just not good.
Great unit with everything you need. Really had a good time. The fridge just needs attention, it doesn't get cold and the freezer doesn't freeze. Had to throw away a lot of food that went off.

Everything you could need is available at the house.
Everything was great! Apartment beautifully equipped. Kitchen has more than enough of everything! Nice glasses, bowls etc. Washing machine and dishwasher were an added bonus. Owner contacted himself to find out if everything is ok. More than enough towels etc. The only suggestion is another braai. For 4 adults the braai was very small and impractical. Consider decent Weber or other grill. We will definitely stay there again! Thank you for a lovely stay!
We had a great time. The place is excellently equipped with even a pair of scissors. Crockery was more than enough for six and the dishwasher made everyone's life easier. Environment is peaceful and quiet and we really rested. If you want to be close to the buzz it is a little far but you can drive there.
We really enjoyed the stay, Clarens is beautiful. Would suggest an SUV for the last part to the house, dirt road. Enjoy the visit in Clarens.
