My child and I would stay there again anytime.
It was wonderful at HomeBase Kruger. Ian went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. We had a nice swim and had a barbecue ourselves that evening. Next morning we have breakfast at HomeBase Kruger. It was delicious. We slept in the tent. It was a special experience. Can recommend it for sure.
We had a wonderful stay! The host and hostess were friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. They really carried us on their hands! The unit was neat, clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast and the food was top notch. I would definitely recommend Homebase Kruger.
Customer service was great. The tent house was tidy and I could clearly hear the lions, hyenas and wildebeests throughout the night. Feel as if you are one with nature. Great breakfast at a good price. 10/10, would recommend.

Too short, booked in late and left early.
It was lovely to look out the door where we slept and see the wildlife that roams around, such as ibex, kudus, zebras, monkeys, warthogs, blue wildebeest etc. Thank you for your hospitality Ian and Lica.

The host and hostess go out of their way to make their guests have a nice stay and visit. It felt like staying with my old friends and family. Will definitely stay there again.

Would definitely recommend the place to someone who wants to switch off from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
You need to be a very small person to be able to sit on the toilet. Had to buy our own toilet paper. The shower drain was blocked and after reporting it was not fixed. The kitchen was in a state with dishes all over the place unwashed. The hosts did not regularly come and check if everything was in order. There is no cupboard to hang you clothes except for a cupboard that looked as it was an old kitchen cupboard with no shelves. No decent or clean rubbish bins outside the kitchen.

The place was clean and comfortable. We arrived after 9pm and someone was arranged to wait for us. Magda was great and gave ideas on what to do at Marloth Park. I would definitely go back there!

Was a very nice visit, just a pity we couldn't stay longer, but will definitely visit much longer next time. For our people here in the Free State, that place is a very nice place to come and have a holiday.
We really enjoyed the 2 nights. Magda and her husband are good people, they helped us with our car when we were struggling, they are also very friendly. Saw animals there and this morning the zebras.

HomeBase Kruger is very clean and tidy and we will stay there any and time again.
The stairs up to our room were a little steep for the older generation, however the patio makes up for it. The air-con was great. Perhaps a little more fridge space in the communal kitchen for your clients would make it just that much more worth while especially if it is a stop over/ self catering.
I will use them again.
Room and bathroom were a bit cramped. Very wooded, did not see any animals near the house. Was in the game park during the day, basically just slept over, and that was enough. Owners are very friendly and helpful. There was free WiFi which was a plus for us.
The photos on the web page are misleading. The room and bathroom were particularly small. We didn't realize there wasn't a stove top. The outside area (garden?) needs attention/renovation. Our room was overgrown with trees that needed trimming. It's a nice communal Colonial-era stoep. The upholstery can be paid attention to. The main house and shared kitchen are well equipped and tidy. The 'Reception" entrance is through a broken screen door, through the kitchen. Perhaps it could be moved to the rear/porch entrance. The arrival outside area could be renovated with little effort. The hostess was exceptionally friendly and competent. HomeBase Kruger has the possibility to be a desirable, basic place to stay, if a few improvements could be made.
The unit we got the toilet and shower are really small. I could not sit normally on the toilet as the wall is too close. need to sit side ways. Kettle in room but no cups for coffee. Not 1 of the 6 glasses in communal kitchen is a match. same with all the other stuff. Place is clean with friendly staff but it was not what we expected based on the photos on the website. Accept loadshedding is an issue but alternative lighting was less than adequate. Place has lots of potential, but needs some TLC.
