90 guests' feedbackVery definitely. Quiet, farm atmosphere. Business center nearby and could drive to Addo every day.
Lovely camp, very neat and clean.
Everything we needed for our one night stay.
Road trip through the Eastern Cape with children and grandchild (2). Comfortable overnight stay with everything needed. Very friendly reception. Close to Addo Park. Substantial breakfast. Will definitely recommend.
Well located close to Addo Elephant National Park, the facilities and service are top notch.
Delightful visit for a short break.
Very nice clean rooms with all the amenities that matter. Near the Addo Park.
We needed accommodation close to the Polo Club in Addo for the Herald Cycle Race and Homestead was a 5-minute drive. Our unit was spacious and super clean with space for a family of three. The aircon is a bonus and the windows have a net covering to keep out the mozzies. We had our own little stoep overlooking the beautiful gardens to enjoy our meals. The sunset was breathtaking. There is a lovely communal braai deck with a pool, many little nooks in the luscious garden with a couple of shaded spaces to read or relax. A peaceful and lovely place to unwind. A nice base if you are going ziplining or visiting other spots in the Sunday River Valley.
Lovely accommodation on a well looked after farm. Friendly hosts, great view, close proximity to the Addo Elephant Park.
Forgot some reading glasses there. Owner sent it to me via PEP. Place was cleaned every day.
Host Ronnie and his people made us feel so at home. Their place is rich in history and character. Lovely wading pool and swimming pool. Best breakfast. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Close to Addo and convenient. Short game drive to the N12 through the park at no additional cost returning home.
Children really enjoyed the place. The workers were very friendly and the breakfast was 5 star.
A lot of load shedding was just a pain, but we just have to live with it. Also located very close to Addo Elephant Park.
We received a very warm and friendly welcome on arrival, room was ready and very nice and comfortable. Before we left we enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Will stay there again for sure.
However, the town of Addo disappointed.
Beautiful gardens with clean ablutions. Owners went out of their way for us.
Friendly reception. Cheap wood and ice. Pitches with power and water. Ablution acceptable and clean. Mosquitoes are a problem.
The owner was very helpful in helping us with routes and planning of attractions.
A pity about those silly Christmas decoration left swinging from the tree. Most annoying!
Very nice garden and neat accommodation. We did get a shock when we wanted to attend breakfast and were told that there was nothing available because we had not booked. The process does not allow for booking anywhere and we assumed that we could turn up, order and pay for breakfast. We were also not asked if we wanted breakfast when we checked in.
Very nice and tidy and very friendly.
The access bell at the gate does not always reach the right people to open. Good information about the environment.
Our stay was short, however very peaceful and relaxing, the rooms were neat and clean. We were happy with our stay and cannot really fault anything, breakfast was enjoyable and well-presented.
Reception could be friendlier. According to our reservation, breakfast was included, but the owner says it was not. But we still got a great breakfast. Road there was not fun.
If I compare our accommodation with other accommodation in the same price range, to be fair and realistic, this one night stay was very negative! Arrived a few minutes before loadshedding, unwelcome reception with inappropriate comment about my request! The furniture and curtains need a lot of attention!
The room had a dirty 2-burner with a candle to use during loadshedding. How safe is that? What is advertised on the pictures is not what we were getting. It was my 1st and last time.
Beautiful, peaceful place.
Friendly hospitality with the most delicious breakfast; clean and neatly equipped. Definitely a place to recommend. Calm atmosphere.
Always wanted to see Addo Elephant Park. Fantastic location.
Highly recommended, peaceful and quiet, could stay there for a very long time!
We got there late. Tired, hungry and thirsty. Even though dinner was not booked or paid for, Hildaleen invited us to eat with them.
It's 15min from Addo Elephant Park so if you're looking for an affordable stay close to Addo park- this is perfect! Its quaint and typically "Boer old fashioned" style makes it a cultural experience. It has a small pool.
Amazing breakfast. Big surprise.
Nice place with friendly staff.
Close to Addo and has all amenities.
Most beautiful gardens to walk around in. Unfortunately could not eat some of the delicious breakfast that previous guests told about. Pitches delicious and easy to store. Bathrooms need some attention and no bathtub for small children.
Homestead B7B was a peaceful place to visit the Addo park. I can recommend it.
It is a beautiful place. Received very hospitably. Definitely value for money, amazing breakfast. Will definitely visit there again and again.
It was lovely to wake up to the sounds of the different feathers!
It is always difficult to please everyone, but our experience was from the top shelves.
Comfortable accommodation at an afforable price. Very nice breakfast.
Bathrooms and kitchen facilities neat.
Hospitality and stunning garden.
Reception was friendly and efficient. Garden setting is a plus.
Gardens are beautiful, friendly people and delicious breakfasts.
Hostess went out of her way to keep us welcome and happy. Service was excellent - the best we have ever experienced at any guest house. Personal attention to every request has always been the motto. If you visit Addo, make use of Homestead. It is excellent value for money. Meals were off the books. Breakfast was exceptional every morning of our stay.
The unit was tidy and is located in a beautiful garden and very quiet.
Compact wooden house with full fittings. Lovely view of pond, but with it mosquitoes.
The accommodation is conveniently close to the Addo National Park, which makes it easy for day visits. We were at home in the wooden house no. 10. A little more attention could possibly be paid to the equipment for the kitchen with more comfortable seating facilities in the living room. The sleeping facilities were good and the beds very comfortable.
See stars.
We are a family of 5 camping with a caravan. Very nice campsite and enough trees and green grass. All that bothered me was that the ablution facilities were not cleaned every day and the water pressure was very weak and slow. Other than that, everything was nice. 14 km from Addo Elephant Park.
Good location for overnight or day visits to Addo National Park. Very nice breakfast, no one will leave there hungry. Room 4, I think, just needs a little attention.
Very well appointed and excellent service. Nice close to a lot of places to visit. And the recommendation of Lenmore restaurant was much appreciated, they may make food.
5 star accommodation. Stylish very cozy atmosphere. We had a drain pipe problem on Christmas Day and reported it and it was attended to immediately. It is remarkable.
Very nice place to stay in.
Very welcoming place very close to Addo. They advised us on places, where we had a much higher chance to see the Big 5 than in Addo. The suggestion for Daniells Cheetah project in Uitenhage was an absolute highlight on our trip through the Cape Provinces.
Friendly people, plenty of feedback, easy to find. Public access road full of potholes, but not Homestead's fault. Pitch with electricity, clean bathrooms with boiling hot water, and night guard at night. It's not a luxury stand, but acceptable enough. I will stand there again. The houses / chalets look very cute. Cute receptionist.
Good place to stay when visiting Addo.
Neat, clean, but no power when we got home late at night. We scrambled in the dark and there was no hot water to shower next morning.
Rooms are maybe okay, but the caravan was very dirty, fridge smelled bad and not clean. We decided to sleep in our own tent. Location is beautiful.
Upon arrival we were very excited as it is a beautiful place. Not long after, the owner asked me if we were allergic to bees, which was very strange. Before long I understood why he asked. We were still sitting like that and talking when a bee stung my son in the face and suddenly there was a swarm of bees that attacked us... my wife was also stung and her hand immediately swelled up and stayed that way for 3 days. We then fled inside and watched the bees, thinking then that they would disappear. As soon as we put our heads out they are back and very aggressive, we then had to spend all the time in the house until the bees went to sleep.
What a surprise it was to see the beautiful place. The rooms are tastefully decorated and gardens are beautifully maintained. Truly a piece of paradise with an interesting history.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Serene and tranquil setting. Great value for money! Would highly recommend it for a relaxing weekend away.
Very neat and clean with safe facilities. Fantastic breakfast and hospitality. Would come again.
Very helpful and accommodating.
Better than we expected, ablution blocks well maintained and enough for caravanners and campers. Bus full of people make ablution blocks too small.
We had a great time camping. The facilities are good and it was value for money.
Lovely garden. Close to Addo town and Addo Elephant Park. Felt save.com
We were there for a week - enjoyed it a lot, lots to do and see around Addo.
Would definitely recommend it to friends because we got a relaxed atmosphere with very professional service. The breakfast was 5-star quality and the gardens are beautiful.
Very neat and clean, everyone is very helpful. The rain was a bit fierce for my old tent, but no problem and in no time I had a room. I can definitely recommend Homestead B&B for a lovely stay.
We will definitely stay there again with friends if we are in the area. It's a shame we stayed so short this time. They will see me again for sure.
The tent pitches were not the original pitches - they were squeezed between the unused caravan and the walkway, because the camp was very full. We had to ask 3 times for a braai drum. In the end we carried one ourselves. It's not worth R100 per person per night.
We stayed at Homestead B&B during our visit to Addo National Park. The staff is friendly, the rooms were clean and tidy and the breakfast was top notch!
Please see the stars.
Very satisfied. Ronnie and family made us feel very much at home.
We enjoyed the hospitality and had a more than wonderful breakfast.
The stay was very comfortable and the room was tidy. There are also good restaurants nearby.
Bedroom not hygienic due to too many clothes and unnecessary clothing. Lots of dust. Washbasin faucets do not work correctly. The road to the B&B is particularly bad due to numerous potholes.
It has deteriorated since our last visit there. Management is now left to the cleaners and the rooms need to be renovated.
The reception was cordial. A neat place in a peaceful environment. A beautiful garden. The owners were friendly with good advice on what we could do. Would definitely recommend and will definitely come again.
The rooms did not quite meet our standards, as the curtains, among other things, lack a wash. Otherwise the stay was perfect. Thank you!
Felt very comfortable in this beautiful place. Just a bit disturbing, the last night, and hope that the security problems will be sorted out.
The house was neat and clean. Beautiful garden. We Dutch like to sit outside on the stoep; we were sorry that there were no nice chairs to sit in. (return of foreign gas)
Affordable clean and tidy accommodation, especially if you want to visit ADDO National Park (only 15 km from park).
See the stars below.
This was an idyllic place for a grandparent, parents, and three children aged 11, 6 years, and 6 months. Relaxing, yet ample garden space and pool for children to play in - and only 60kms from PE - no long distance travel! It was just 14 kms to Addo Park - so it's the perfect base for day trips.
Comfortable accommodation that is good value for money when you visit the Addo National Park.
It was truly a pleasant experience staying in Homestead. The owner/staff were very accommodating and they went out of their way to make the stay as pleasant as possible for us. Homestead has very neat and clean units with a nice garden. For us it was ideally located close to Addo Park. We stayed with 2 dogs and 2 small children and although not really suitable for such large dogs, the staff went out of their way and did not disturb us at all. I easily recommend the place and would stay here again.
