The camp offers wildlife experiences, including the Big 5, rewarding bird watching, and superb cuisine. Guests get an experience with 5 different ecosystems within 1 reserve, the big game viewing, rich variety of wildlife and beautiful scenery.
Ranger Camp has 15 luxury tents set amid the lush greenery of the reserve, keeping you within personal touch of the environment while you experience the Big 5 safari lifestyle. The tents are elevated above the ground and have private bathrooms with open-air showers. Each tent has a thatched roof with a private terrace where you can sit on your safari chair while watching the stars or the animals pass by as they roam through the unfenced camp.
The food at Ranger Camp is a highlight and is a communal affair, usually served outdoors at a long table, with log fires and torches to create an authentic bush feel. The accommodation offers simple homemade dishes, using predominantly local produce, which is plentiful and exquisitely presented.
The camp has professional guides that conduct safaris in open game viewing vehicles during the early mornings and late afternoons. The traditional late afternoon or -evening game drives include refreshing sunset drinks from where beautiful views of the Yellowwood Gorge can be admired.
