Breathtaking views on a beautiful farm. We could only stay one night but would have loved to stay for more! Also a really well-equipped kitchen - had everything we needed.

I want to talk about Honeyrock. It was everything we needed; the location was perfect and I love the feeling of being on the farm. We were staying in 1A Rose Cottage, but while we were chatting and laughing, the next-door neighbour was banging on the wall, asking us to be quiet. I mean, seriously, you cannot just relax and laugh; that's why we are there - to just be in a good relaxation mode, on holiday, and enjoy ourselves. But with that, I will go back again anytime.
Nice quiet country atmosphere with guinea fowls running everywhere and a wild goose that comes down every now and then.
I felt like I was at home. Got welcomed by a very heartwarming smile and good energy from the hosts. I can't wait to return to this beautiful farm. Would definitely recommend it.

Enjoyed the one night stay - beautiful, quiet location and stunning view of the hills/mountain. Delighted to find a bag of dry wood which was supplied for a braai, thank you Honeyrock! We were fortunate not to have load shedding and were able to use the kettle, hairdryer, etc. at our leisure.
Our visit to Honeyrock was lovely! The cottages are located on a small holding / small farm which was a flower farm before the Kleinmond fires. Now there is a vegetable garden that guests are welcome to walk through and pick what they need. Our little one really enjoyed it. The lawn in front of the cottages is beautifully green and also an ideal playground for little ones. Honeyrock is at the foot of the hill, so your view from the cottage is incredible. The only downside is that there is no generator, and no gas facilities either. Everything inside the cottage works with electricity, e.g. the microwave oven, kettle, stove, etc. The power was off from 6-10am the morning we left, meaning we couldn't even make a cup of tea or coffee the morning before we had to check out. A gas stove is a must for boiling water / cooking during load shedding.
Views were beautiful and Kleinmond is stunning.

Worst service ever received. We had trouble getting hold of the owner. The number on the sweet sleep doesn't exist, and her other number just called. We waited half an hour before we could find anyone, and then went through the gates. You can't even leave your car at the cottage; it should be below. You can pull the car closer for unloading, but what good is it if someone wants to pass?
The tranquility was a plus, just what we needed.
Our stay was so amazing, we are coming back again.

Close to amenities yet the feeling of being out in the countryside. Our aged Roxy was very welcome and comfortable there as well.
There is a nice playground for children with large green lawns, and plenty of braai wood for a nice visit. The location is perfect because it is just "outside" the town, yet only 5 min away from any shop.
The cottage is well kept and you will find everything you need. Very comfortable bed and quiet surroundings.
Clean and conveniently close to town. Only downfall is no parking next to unit. They can think about a UPS to keep Wi-Fi working during load shedding.

We really enjoyed our visit there. Apart from a stove (only a 2 plate stove) the units are well equipped and there is everything you need. Very neat and clean.
The only setback was arriving and having no idea how we were going to get through the gate. Fortunately after a 10 min wait, a car was departing so we could get in.

Very friendly and helpful service from Wayne and Noelien. Parking next to the cottage is recommended; there is enough space. We had to wait until the torrential rain cleared before we could go to the car. Canopy on porch will also make a big difference to be able to use braai area. With no TV and WiFi, radio or magazines may be welcome.
Our cottage was welcoming, functional and contained all amenities as promised. The farm is located outside town, but within a few minutes of all the important places. A great spot to relax, have a quick meal and rest up for the next adventure in the area.
Family trip with elderly parent. Enjoyed the garden very much, and the cottage had all the basics, however the two-plate stove did not work. The night before we had the most perfect braai. The next day at breakfast time we found out that the stove plates did not become hot, and this prevented us from preparing our regular moka pot, however Honeyrock Cottages had provided instant coffee and a selection of teas, so it was not a big deal. I found a bit inconvenient that one room was en-suite and from the other room one had to enter it to reach the bathroom.
People were friendly. Place is nice and comfortable. What bothered me is that there is no hanging closet, only rails to hang clothes and even laundry service is not available.
Accommodation is peaceful and quiet. All the necessary necessities are available.
First impressions are not good and the rooms are placed next to buildings that look like they used to be worker housing. There are no paths to the rooms and there is no parking space at each unit. The rooms are neat, but very basic. The bedroom does not have a door, which makes heating difficult. No cracker or sweetener is provided. No TV or internet is available. So rooms very basic.
The place is very clean and we loved the cement floors. My Jack Russel. Pet called Daisy had a ball of a time. Thanks, will definitely be back.

The Heuningklip cottages are located at a fantastic point, close to the sea and close to the mountains just outside the town. The open air and lawn outside the door bring a lot of tranquility, away from the hustle and bustle of town life and it's animal friendly, so your other children can come along too. Very nice!
The hosts were very welcoming, hospitable and kindly accommodating of all our requests. Excellent communication and assistance from Honeyrock. We will return for another visit.

I was hoping for a place where I could be alone (peace) but not quite alone (safety). The view from Cottage 3B is magnificent and the weather played along so I could braai on the patio every evening. The cottage is well equipped, clean and practically organised. Friendly hosts and Wayne is a real darling - so helpful!
The area where the cottages are located is absolutely beautiful. You hear the sea and together with the mountain makes it just perfect. The staff go out of their way to help you and make you feel at home. They even gave us an extra cottage so that our adult children can sleep more comfortably. Our kitten who traveled with us felt just as at home. Thank you so much Honeyrock Cottages, you rock!
Daughter's 17th birthday celebrated there. Was peaceful and just what we needed as a family. The mountains, natural beauty was good. Will go again.

Honeyrock Cottages is situated against the mountain just beyond the town of Kleinmond. It is a lovely, peaceful resort with the most beautifully decorated cottages. The owner was very helpful and went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. Our doggies loved running around on the beautiful lawns. We will definitely visit again.
Perfect place for a quick getaway.
The staff were very accommodating when we wanted to drop our bags off early in the morning before heading off on a hike. On our return, our bags had been put into our room and the fan had been turned on for us. Very lovely views, with a braai on each patio. Unfortunately we were bushed from our long hike and didn't braai, but we will return.
If you want to get away from the busy city life, then I can recommend the Honeyrock Cottages. Very quiet and peaceful for relaxation. Will definitely stay there again in the future.

Everything was incredibly nice, I just suggest parking closer to the unit, if it rains it's not nice to walk all the way to the unit.

Honeyrock was confused with website's communication as there was none. Honeyrocks people had no idea we were coming and was at our place twice.
The room and living room were comfortable, clean and stylish. But we had to really struggle to get into the security gate. You are not allowed to park at your cottage and therefore vehicle security is a problem.
For what we paid we didn't get much in terms of facilities nor service. The entire setup is very odd of the premises and nobody came to introduce themselves and explain things. The only nice part was the bathroom, our braai was not even cleaned after we used it the first night till the end of our stay 4 days later.
Very nice place, fantastic value for money. Feels like a hotel, just in your own private house.

We enjoyed it very much! It was a bit cold but there were heaters and blankets. We slept like kings! Will definitely go back again.
It is close to the town. The cottage is comfortable but would be better if they would consider furnishing it with a couch.
